Damn Wisco, That's a lot of Deer. I hunted some public land a few years back in Trempeleu County. Beautiful country. Mike congrats to you and your brother, nice buck. Guys me and one of my sons sat from sunrise til 4:15 yesterday ( rain) I did not see one Deer. I was spent. This morning I seen a 6 pointer and a fawn in the first 45 minutes, then nothing. Called it quits at 10:30. I'm back at it again, one of these sits has got to pay off. Good luck to anyone out tonight, and stay safe .

Hey guys I'm back at it. Ended up seeing a nice 8 last night no shot, he needed another year anyhow. Also passes up a fawn last night. This morning I seen a Doe and a Fawn, but of course they were out of range. I just don't think things have quite heated up yet. Jetter, good tonight, and that goes for anyone else hunting tonight .

Got out today before work. Nothing seen on property. Did not prepare for 18 degree wind chill! Saw 4 bucks from 2-3 while driving. 2 of the bucks were bigger than the biggest I have on my wall. One was running...the others were out, but just appeared to be looking around. Did get a big 10 pointer on cam (video mode) but all of the videos of him are middle of the night. Also he had a decent 8 hanging out with him every time. Thought that was strange this time of the year.

Real good sit last night, didn't take a deer but seen a lot of action. Seen one of the 8 points I have on cam working a scrape but just think he needs at least one more year. Seen a ton of doe and several smaller bucks. Also, seen the first signs of the rut, small 5 point was running doe out of the plots into the woods all night. Our gun season starts tomorrow so, putting on orange and carrying the bow! Good luck guys and shoot straight!

Going to hit the state forest in the morning and scout around a bit and get up in a tree and see how things go. Giving the spot where I spooked the doe on my buddy's land more time and see if she drags a buck in when the rut gets closer in January

Went out for a sit despite the insane wind. Had 30+mph wind the whole time, saw 3 does just at dark way on the opposite end of the field. Almost closed the deal on a coyote walking out but he spooked when I drew back.

Well the saga continues. Richie pulled a card yesterday and there was a picture of Poseidon alive and well this post Friday. He had to be the toughest buck I have ever encountered. I'll post the pic later when I have a better signal

Congrats wisco! No luck for me yesterday, got a text last night from my buddy (property I have the pics of the doe and fawn from). Said his wife had 4 deer scare the crap out of her right behind the back porch, 3 does and a 4 pointer, looks like traffic is picking up there now so I will be out tomorrow on Veteran's Day to hopefully put some meat in the freezer!

Well we followed the blood for about 100 yards decided to back out. The blood is big pools about every 5-10 yards. Then we get a text from a family friend that shot a buck and need us to help come track it so we are running 1hr south of are cabin to help them find her buck and then we run back up to look for mine so looks like its going to be a long day hoping my buck is dead. got a pass through. Blood is good bright red but I am thinking with the quartering away shot that I only got one lung. So wish me luck I will try to keep you up dated as soon as we have news one way ore another.

Well from what am hoping maxima's saga has come to an end. We have been chasing this buck for 2 seasons. And this morning I had a shot at him! this buck is a ghost we get pictures of him in velvet and then the season rolls around and he turns into a ghost and shows up after he shed his antlers. So all I can do is hope he was piled up over a log 10 yards past were we backed out. They found the buck we were going down to track so we turned around to head to get some food then take a nap then go look for maxima. But he more I think about he shot and the blood trail I am starting to think it could be a brisket hit. It is the same type of blood and pattern as a doe I shot last season through the brisket. Then shot her with the rifle the following week.

Well looks like what I thought happened happed. We lost blood and and ended up jumping him and he ran out into the swamp and we looked at him through the binos and you could see were the entry was and the shot went to low and went through the brisket. So Maxima live to see another day he ran off perfectly fine so its good to know that he fine.
