Damn Mike, I feel bad for you man, you guys have been working real hard for those deer... I'm sure you will have another crack at one though, keep your head up you guys will get it done.

The rut is on here, lots of chasing going on, scrapes being hit constantly and bucks are on their feet. Will be out almost every day except weekends, someone is bound to connect soon enough.

Mike, really sorry to hear about you not getting to put your tag on that Buck. He looks to be a real stud. But atleast he's still running around. I went out this morning and seen nothing. The winds were 25 mph plus this afternoon , so I did not get out this afternoon. The winds are suppose to be 20 mph plus most of the day tomorrow, but dying down early afternoon, I will get out then. They should be moving then. Anyone going out tomorrow, good luck.

Sorry to hear that Ghilie , next time. Well the winds have finally died down, I'm thinking tonight should be pretty good. We also have a winter storm watch for tomorrow into Wednesday . They are saying 4-7 inches of snow is possible. With the rut kicking in and snow possible , they gotta be moving . I'm feeling atleast a crack at a Doe should be in order . Lol

Hey guys. This is my last hurrah in Wisconsin this year. Due to that fact, I couldn't hold out for a bigger buck. It was a ton of fun and a huge adrenaline rush, so I am happy. Hopefully I find a buck with more headgear in Minnesota.

Well, everything went to plan. Buck came in, except I stopped him further down than what I wanted. I guessed him at 35-40, arrow went right over his back. I paced it out after the shot, it was more like 33. With the adrenaline pumping I forgot to take into account that I was shooting severely down hill as well. All my fault, pretty bummed out, but it happens. Going back for another crack tomorrow. Good luck guys and stay safe!

Well guys, my hunt last night was a bust. I didn't see a single Deer. I really thought they would have been moving after a day and a half of 20mph winds. We have a winter weather advisory for this afternoon and into Wednesday. Where I'm hunting they are saying a possibility of 1-2 inches of snow. So hopefully they are moving this morning. Mike good luck with your Buck. Ghilie keep your head up. We have all done it. Some more than I care to admit lol. Well good luck to anyone going out today, be safe.

Back in, had an enjoyable sit. I am hunting the edge of state land that abuts a pretty big private hay field. The deer always congregate in the opposite end where I can not hunt, but it was still enjoyable to watch a bunch of bucks chase each other and does for the afternoon. Lets just hope one of these does makes the 250yd walk to my edge of the field dragging a few bucks with her later this week.

Made it out today before work. Saw one deer running back and forth a couple hundred yds away. Got a decent Buck on cam though! He was 20 yds from one of my stans yesterday AM at 7...the day I decided NOT to hunt. Doooooooh!

Hey sorry I went off the grid went up to trempealeau co this weekend drew on 2 BIG bucks just never seeled the deal. The 10 point never stoped had him at 16 yards and the other stopped behind a tree at 31 yards. Saw 27 deer in 4 days. Sunday night had a big bladeds six at 38 yards just did not feel good confadint in the shot at that distance with a 15 mph wind.

Wow! That is a lot of deer. That makes sitting/standing in the stand much more enjoyable!
