Wow NAP has some awesome customer service. I contacted them last week because I had problems with 3 quickfletch out of a pack of 6 that were messed up. Just got a package in the mail from NAP with TWO packages of 6! Wow I will always deal with NAP!

Hunted 2.5 of the last four days and didn't see a deer from the stand. Got soaked yesterday and thunder storm this morning kept me out of the woods. Hoping this is the lull before things get heated up. Took another four days off next week. Hopefully it will pick up by then.

Action has been pretty slow here as well. I did see a 2.5 3.5 10 pointer yesterday morning nose to the ground and grunting like crazy. Sat til 11:15 and that was it. Last night seen one small buck and a fawn by itself which has me thinking there is some chasing going on at night. Well hope the action picks up this morning. Good luck to anyone going out today

Got my gear in the car. Hoping to hit the woods for a couple hours this afternoon. Most guys around here are seeing more AM deer than PM deer. Saw 2 small bucks today while driving with their noses to the ground. Good luck and be safe out there guys.

"Raindrips keep falling on my head". That is the theme of today's hunt. No deer yet...

Checking in. Been busy lately putting a floor down and re-doing a room as well as other oddjobs and normal work. Good thing is everything will be done tomorrow and I am only working Mon, and Wed through the end of November, so I will have tons of time to be in the woods.

I also agree, Mike you need to stop posting those pictures unless you are going to share! Good luck to everyone, seems like it is about to blow open any day now, stay safe!

Had a 7 pointer and a doe within range last evening. Different property today had a 7 pointer below me and had a doe about 50 yds. Hoping for a little larger buck, but might have to take one soon....getting anxious!

Seen one buck this morning, not sure how big, just caught a glimpse of him about 60 yards away. After this mornings hunt, me and one of my sons went and hung a new stand, and no crap I was in the stand and my son was trimming some shooting lanes and here comes a Doe with a 6 pointer on her butt. I think it's about to blow open any time now. Good luck to anyone out tonight. I've been on stand since 2:45 and nothing yet

Just got in. Good and bad news.

Bad news, two guys are now hunting my little secluded spot of public. Naturally it frustrates me because I'm in there since May scouting and running cams, but these two pricks found my stands/cams and set up within a hundred yards of me. This is my last year of public, will be looking hard in the off season for private even if I have to lease.

Good news is my camera's are showing all night time activity, between 10-2am for the last month, 0 day time pictures since late September. So these spot stealing pricks hopefully will not get any shots at these deer (Neither will I, but at least I know there are plenty of shooter bucks in the area). Secondly my buddy got a picture of a drop tine today on his property 30 minutes before he got in the woods this AM. First one I have ever seen on camera, very excited to see him hunt this deer all fall.

Went pheasant hunting this afternoon on ground adjacent to where I hunted this AM. It was a pasture that last held cattle 10+ years ago. The areas where the dogwood have grown up are loaded with rubs. Also, found some fresh beds out in the middle of the CRP. Gonna try to set my Dad up for gun season sitting over this old pasture. Not sure if he should sit it in the AM or the PM. Anyways, it is crazy that I spent nearly the entire time pheasant hunting scouting for deer sign! I frickin' addicted!

Well guys I have good news and the worst news. I shot one of our hit list bucks yesterday.
    30 yards slight quartering away.
We looked fir him all day and night. Then this morning we picked up the trail again abd it blew our minds he went at least a mile. Richie saw him standing abd once he caught richies wind he bound off tail waving goodbye. I guess the good news is he is going to make it.hey is a quick pic of the shot footage[IMG]

That is too bad Mike, he sure is a really good buck!! I'm sure last night was a hard one for you. You still have many other really good bucks around that area at least so hold your head high man!!

On was home from church today on 173 coming out of Harvard, IL towards the East I passed a truck that was pulled over by a McHenry County Conservation Officer. I slowed when I went past. Inside the bed of the truck was a freakin' monster buck!! The officer and the guy were both smiling checking it out. I would quick guess 180+" I did not have my camera or phone with me so I was not able to get any pics. Also, did not get out today even though the weather was really nice.
