Wish me luck that tomorrow's cam pull is a good one since I moved it two weeks ago to a new spot along the creek. Just got offered another private hunt for a weekend or two, one of the civilian refuelers at a small airfield here has offered myself and a few buddies to hunt his land and use the cabin he has there. He wants more business his way from the flight school so we keep suggestion other pilots stop by there lol

Just putting the reminder out there (Fitz asked the team captains to do so) regarding your entries. Guess a few folks got butt hurt for not getting their entry accepted but they didn't follow the rules. Time and date of your harvest plus TWO pictures of you, the deer, and your bow all must be in the picture. If not, your entry doesn't count. I know I don't have to worry about it with any of you guys except maybe Mike, I think all that time in the trees with ****ie is taking it's toll! LOL Good luck to anyone headed out tomorrow!

    Don't worry about me I have a good therapist:p
On a serious note we are heading out this morning. I plan on getting it done today. The cool front moved in and the storms moved out so they should be moving good today.
I blew the shot on those turkey yesterday but I think the worst part was that my camera shut down just before my shot.
I had a decent 120's behind me for a bit I just couldn't get him in frame.
Then a nice nubber buck came running over when I used a soft mamma doe call on him.
Good luck today fellas be safe
    BHOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : Nina:

Just got back from checking the trail cam. The Cornhole I had put in the ground to draw them in for pics was completely gone and found the culprit(s). IMAG0023.jpg IMAG0061.jpg IMAG0158.jpg

Needless to say, I was't too happy about those three turds. There are about 40 pics of that possum, about 5 of the armadillo and 4 or so of the racoon. May have to take some small game heads out with me!

After getting agitated I kept scrolling through and found this one from around 5pm on Oct 1st!

What do you guys think, is that fawn old enough to be on it's own now? She even gave a close up to the camera, what a ho!

Then I found these pics that were from yesterday. A lil squirrel mooned the cam!
    IMAG0144.jpg

And not sure if it's the same doe or not but have another appearance yesterday around 5pm. Looks like I know what time to be sitting in the stand on opening day!

I'm guessing the doe is 2 years old? It's harder to tell by pictures, deer are smaller here in Alabama. Anyone agree on the age?

9 more days Schuls! It is getting close for you. Looks to be a mature doe to me.

I am hoping to be in the stand tomorrow after work. Finally getting a NW wind to hunt the buck below. It is a small piece of property (3 acres) so there are not many options for stands!! Pulled the camera the next day this pic was taken and have not returned to the property. It is along a river that many people fish and trap so I am not sure if I will ever see this guy, but hoping and praying I do.

What a great buck rizzo, good luck on him! I know there is a 3 year old buck in the area, I've seen him from my truck and he's been in my buddy's backyard which is maybe 209 yards from the cam, he just didn't out an appearance in on can. I'll be doing early evening hunts since all the doe pics were at 5pm. Can't wait for next week!

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on in awhile. I still haven't made it out yet, all day at work today I was thinking, man I bet they are moving today with the cool weather. I am going to try and get out this coming week.
Rizzo, that is a heck of a Buck, I'm sure we all hope you get a shot at him this season. We know your Bow is dialed in, nice job on the Doe management so far.
Ryan, I agree, I would say she is a 2yr old.
Well if anyone is going out tomorrow good luck, and stay safe.

Cold front pushed through last night. Planned to hunt this evening but got called out for work shortly after I got home this afternoon. Two days off to hit the woods, will be in a tree before sunup. Good luck to all out there.
