Sucks about Todd's monster buck. I'm still stuck until Oct 15th for season to start, hopefully this Saturday when I go hang the stand and do a card pull ill have some pics of deer.

Checked cams and plots. Plots need rain bad! Cams showed one small 8 point that I call "Spot" and he had velvet hanging off, so they are starting to shed the velvet around here. Didn't get to check other spot, hope to this coming week/weekend. 19 days till opener!

Well guys, I checked my cameras today, and a big disappointment. Nothing but Does/Fawns, and a few small Bucks. My fall food plot is in desperate need of rain.
I'm ready for the opener this weekend, unfortunately I have to work. You guys that are going this weekend, good luck, and keep us all posted.

As it seems with most of us, my goal is a doe down for the opening week. I haven't checked our food plot but we have had plenty of rain, fingers crossed on that. Hopefully I can get lucky and put a buck down early too, we will see.

Mike, that plot came in awesome!

I'm hoping that next year if I still do get reassigned to Ft Bragg to meet up with a fellow BHOD member, SharpEyeSam and fling some arrows with him. Since Im less than 3 years from retiring from the Army I've been looking at job options and am considering an EMS flight position in Nebraska, I hear there is some good hunting there! One day I'll have my own land, that's the goal!

Best of luck to all of you that get to hit the woods this weekend for your opener. October is definitely taking way too long to get here! My money is on Neal getting first blood for us this weekend!

    Nice plot Mike!

What do you have planted in there?

I'll be using my gopro hero 3 Black this year for filming. It has great quality footage but the wide FOV does not curtail for the best up close hunting footage. Regardless it will be fun to rewatch my hunts if I can kill anything...lol

So I figured I would put my 1000th post on the forum in our team thread!

My buddy sent me a text today to let me know he is still seeing deer crossing the paved road out from his house and following along the creek towards where I put my mineral site and trail cam. Really hoping on Saturday that A) my F250 is back from the shop so I can go check the cam and B) that there are some good deer on cam!

Congrats on the 1000th post Ryan. :hail::hail: lol. I will pm you my cell #. I think that's a great idea.
Mike you have a very nice looking plot there. Mine is pretty anemic looking, need rain a.s.a.p.
Ghilie, are you attaching your Go Pro to your Bow for filming ? If so what are you using to attach it ? I got the Hero2 for Christmas and have been looking into putting it on my Bow.
