PT had me doing a lot of shoulder and overhead work...man...like grabbing a 120v 15a line. Told him that I appreciate the shoulder workout for bowhunting, but he wasn't doing my pinched nerve any favors. He put me on the rack (traction) for 10 minutes it helped...for a bit.

I'm gonna need to fling some carbon this weekend. Hoping to get out to my land and check on the stand I left up last year...check the area I clear cut. I guess I probably ought to take some corn and a camera...

The wife is doing really well. Looks like she was in a gunfight from the laparoscopic work they did...6 wks of recovery!

I prefer the team number before the team name. It helps me find a team thread when I need to.

Went out for dove. Didnt last long as the farmer showed up to continue harvesting the corn. I walked to the other end and bumped a doe in the corn. Figured I would go check on 2 feed sites and replenish and bumped more deer there too. Looks like the deer have been on their feet alot lately during daylight. Once pressure hits it will slow down. Looking forward to opening day next Saturday.

Both vehicles broke down, got covid, fields needed cutting, it all came to a head. I live in upstate NY but I annually hunt in Llano TX and PA. I hope I'm able to contribute some good points this year.

Slugger, my buddy recently left my old PD in Northern VA moved down to Kitty Hawk with his wife and two kids. He got a job with the Kitty Hawk PD. Went from a PD of like 700 to one of maybe 10. He says he loves it!

What are everyone's goals for this year?

I know for me it's been a year since I harvested a deer. This year I'm hoping to get a doe and a buck as last year I was only buck hunting due to lack of freezer space. I'm also hoping to avoid target panic. I had so many opportunities last year and botched everyone of them; I've worked pretty hard this year to get my equipment aligned and work through target panic which has been an issue. I noticed that about once every 10 shots, as I anticipate the **** I end up jerking and shooting way off. I might bring out the longbow for a hunt or two but I figure I should try for efficiency and effectiveness and hunt the majority of the time with the compound.

Super excited for the season to start and have been doing a bit of walking without my aircast which has gone well. Continuing to do the PT and increase range of motion and strengthen then tendon and calf; I'll definitely have to ease into the early season and pick and choose what terrain I traverse but, nonetheless, I'm excited for some threestand therapy!

For me it's to have a better year then last year. Was pretty slow for me. Shot a doe mid October then a buck Mid November. Had some hunts cancelled and did not get to hunt more they once or twice a week. I normally hunt at least 3 times a week throughout the season. Hopefully with some new properties I can get back in my groove.

Good luck with your shooting and your PT. Just focus on your shoots and get ready for that treestand therapy.

Sounds like your coming out of a rut. Good luck getting back on track. TX hunt sounds fun. Do you go to an outfitter out there?
