Seen 1 nub buck, 2 does, and a 4pt today. All between 9 and 10am. Been sitting all day. 3 more hrs of the grind. Hope it pays off.
I asked for a bigger buck this morning. I guess I didn't elaborate enough, I think I had a run in with this buck. But at 60 yards. I should have asked for 20 yards. Too. Nice encounter thou. Grunted at him he stopped and looked. But kept going. Up the hill
Doesn’t PA have a spread requirement, like 14” or something? I might not be remembering right or it may just be certain counties… If so, 55-60 would have to be barely legal…
Dude, the only Buck I’ve seen this year (so far) was in my back yard! And only when it was still in the summer pattern… Damn, I’m starting to sound like Clint…where’s my lucky watch?!
Pts requirement not spread. Pts only count if 1 inch or more Where I am at it's 3 on a side, and brow pts don't count. He had 3 on his left side and 2 on his right . Most of the state counts the brow tine but not 1 B where I am at.
Thanks for explaining, every state with its unique regs… 1b=Greater Erie? My sister did some of her medical rotations up that way, long ago. I’ve got a brother due south of you, Cranberry area. He said that eastern part of the state to mid state pretty much takes off the rifle opener.
A couple of years ago when the first day of rifle was on a Monday. The schools would close because 1/3 -1/2 of the students would not be in school. Age 12 on up
My dad would always write an excuse for us on deer and trout openers. We were on ‘an educational field trip’…
I got my flu shot last week…it feels like I’ve now got the flu. Was freezing last night too 11:30… but not running a fever. Now I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. Unless I rebound, not feeling like wandering out in the woods this weekend on either side of av tropical storm.
I came home from hunting early yesterday as my youngest was sick. Now I have it. Didn't make it out this morning.
