I guess I better shoot a deer or two this next week…outstanding job so far guys!

I’m hoping to get some tree time over the next 10 days. Warm and rain this weekend, but Thurs pm off next week on will be a good stretch…just need temps to drop and some favorable wind.

 

Saw no deer yesterday, but literally saw 6 or 7 squirrels at the same time from my stand. Considering sitting this afternoon, but we have scattered showers and it’s gonna be near 80!

And later in the week, which I have off, we may have a tropical storm. WTH?!

 

Temps are looking good late this week and extending.

 

No hunting today (Sunday) - archery darn pa game commission, so I'm enjoying a fine cup of coffee and what do I see behind my house about 300 yards. But a buck chasing a doe. I could see a nice set of horns at 300 yards. Didn't need to get the binos. @#$&+@# pa game commission

 

Virginia finally allowed Sunday public land hunting this year.

This is a hell of a week to be in the woods. Lets go for it!

 

Negative. The guys, who beat me to the spot I was gonna hunt tonight, shot a small spike.

 

3/4 mile hike back to one of my favorite rut stand’s tonight to find this. We had 50mph winds all day yesterday. Guess I wasn’t supposed to sit there.

11/7/22 one of the best days of the year to be in a tree here we go

 

The guy who shot the deer with his muzzleloader and his friend hadn’t hunted that spot much. I gave him some tips, but when I heard his shot, I felt regret. Till I saw that deer…tiny and I’m not even sure I would’ve shot it…
