Had my first decent buck show up on cam today and tonight. It’s almost like fall is about here. Should be in a tree Saturday evening if weather holds true. Good luck to those out!

Last time I went to Colorado we saw some big bull moose and two times one came to within 10 yards as I was about to put a stalk on a bull. I wasn't sure if the moose was going to charge or try to mount me so I turned my attention to him and was prepped to jab him with an arrow if he made any funny moves. Awesome scenery! Best of luck with your remaining time out there!

We called that boy into about 10yds too. Had a dinky rack, but my buddy saw a nice one one day. 4 moose, many mule deer, grouse...my buddy saw 1 elk at 60-70 yds ( no shot)

Highs or over 90 tomorrow. Then highs of 70 on Friday. Guess I will be back out hunting Friday. So excited for the cooler weather. Been hot these last few days which has kept me out of the woods. I will keep you guys up to speed for these next few hunts. Heading to Charleston SC on Sunday for a week for a school so I will not be hunting for a week but no big deal it is still early into the season.

I may have run across the highest rubs Ive ever seen today. Up to the bottom of my chest. Not sure how big the buck is, but he has to be tall racked to do that to a tree.

It was 44 degrees here in SE MN this morning...I would have loved to be in the woods. Tomorrow evening when I'm out it'll be around 55 with a feel of 51 and rain coming in closer to closing time. I'm hoping the deer will be up on their feet, but it's a south wind and I only have a couple options for that wind, one is in the corner of CRP (it's cut) and a bean field, which is yellowing and I don't expect the deer to be munching them, but hoping they move through. The other spot is an oak flat with corn to the west and a pond to the north west, the only issue with this is that the deer can come from anyway except the east as there's a quarry. Either way it should be a fun night!

Saw that, that stinks. One time I hung a camera on a pond in the middle of the woods. Came back two months later and there tracks pounded all around the pond. 0 pics...I had left the sd card lock still in place. ughhhh

Ha. 6 feet. If a rub was taller than my stomach where I used to hunt, I knew it was big. The heights of two different rubs 50 yds apart confirmed that it was a super tall racked buck.

Definitely a tall rack then! Now for myself at a bolstering 5'6" I'd assume someone went by with a climbing stick and rubbed the tree. I hope you get on that buck!!

I did that once many years ago. Never made that mistake again.

Yes tomorrow is going to be sweet. Went from highs in the 90s this week to a low of 48 tonight. Should be a good one.
