haha tacklebox, believe me, I would have loved to till it, but I don't have one nor much money at the time. Plus with all the roots, I didn't want to take any chances renting or borrowing one. As far as a captain, it doesn't matter to me. And I kind of liked the Tailfan Tyrants for the team name, but I'm pretty easy going and once again, don't care too much haha. Less than 3 weeks for turkey season for me
My season opens Tuesday, I will have Greg and his son in town hunting though so I likely won't really hunt myself until the weekend. I'm ready to be in the woods hearing some thunderchickens as the sunrises....
I was able to get out on Friday but didn't have any luck. It was more of a scouting hunt but needed to be done. Hopefully next weekend they will be responding a little better.
You must have missed my other threads, lol I had another forum member and his son in to hunt last week. We took 4 birds. See the videos in the regular turkey forum
Well, today is opening day here in NC. I heard an unbelievable amount of gobbling this morning but didn't see any birds. I'll be getting back out there this afternoon with hopefully a little more luck. How are yall doing?
All depends on where you were. I heard 2 distant gobbles all morning, saw 2 hen on the drive home. Saw 5 deer though.
Opening day here. Snow fell overnight. I didn't go out this morning. 32 degrees at 8 am this morning. 36 degrees right now. I might slip out this afternoon to maybe catch some feeding if I can get away from work. Would be different to get a picture of spring turkey with snow.
Weird picture yesterday. Sat out for a little over an hour. Could see my breath. Didn't see or hear anything. Wasn't really the right time to be out, but you never know. Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk
Its on like donkey kong tonight and this whole weekend. Good luck out there. Been watching videos of some friends turkey reaping at work. I'm a little jacked up. One missed from 3 feet. I probably would've missed too. Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk
Forgot to bring scale for weight. Only thing I always forget about in these competitions. Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk
