Looks like we have a name, Antler Addicts! Can anyone make an avatar? Ill be in the woods tomorrow evening also.
I don't have a clue as to how and make one. Maybe Jenna could find time to make us one. KYDeerHunter03 I sent her a PM asking if she could help us. She does incredible work.
Had this buck earlier during the summer coming by my trail camera on a regular basis. Then it stopped coming around about the first week of July, when I got the last trail camera picture of it.I checked my camera today and it started showing up again.hope it continues to stay around.
Dunno if this is what you guys were looking for, but here ya go. I know its not the greatest...I aint that good at photo editing haha
Im still here guys. Been hunting a few times. Seeing a lot of deer but no shooter bucks yet. Ill be getting out more next week. My 3 week vacation starts Oct 26, ill be in the woods till they drag me out or i drag one of them out. Good luck everyone!
Doesn't really help the team at this point....but I'll be up in Indiana the majority of this weekend. Have 3 cams to pull/check when I arrive and 7 different spots prepped to hunt....Hopefully I choose the right one!
Look who showed up on the 7th.I was there the 5th and the 6th at the same time.I've gotta bump into this slob one of these times.Definetley a late afternoon visitor. The last couple of times it has showed,it has been within a couple minutes of each other. My stand is about 12-15 yards to the left of this picture.
Has anyone gotten anything yet? I have been out 4 times and havnt seen anything at all until this evening. I passed up on a 6 point at 8 yards because i was on my frieds land and i told him i would only shoot does, also im saving my 1 buck tag so that i can get a monster on my property i lease. Even though it was only a 6 point, i still got a huge rush being only 8 yards from him, i though he could hear my heart beating If i getthe monster on my property we could get in this competition finally. Let me know what you all have seen.
Well guys my season is over.....Didn't get a shot at a buck this year. Saw a real bruiser twice, but he never got any closer than 60 yards. Hope some of the rest of have a better season than we had here in PA.. Very few bucks taken in this area
PSE Buck Killer, I have seen a 4 point, about a 130" 8 point and some slick heads. With the exception of that 8pt it has been one of my worst years ever. PABuck_HNTR, Why is your season over already?
Pa bow season is over until after Christmas. I wish PA was more like Ohio and other states. We have to contend with small game hunters, turkey hunters, senior/junior early 3 day rifle season for does. All in a month and a half long seson.
7 pt. bowkill Shot this buck today at 1530 hrs. on a new piece of property that I just gained access to a few weeks ago.The land owner told me that he has been seeing alot of deer passing through his land and mentioned the fact that he had been seeing this particular 7 pt. on several occasions running through the back field and said to "kill it if you get a chance,I wan to see it up close".So today I got to my stand at 1450 hrs. and guess who came by at 1530?The buck came through the back corner of a swamp, right along the edge of a stonewall where I had set up my stand. The shot was quatering away at 10 yards and took out both lungs. At the shot the deer mule kicked and bolted around 90 yards before piling up.The arrow passed completely through the deer and buried about 7 inches into the ground on the off side.I had a spotty blood trail for most of the way, though it did pick up for about the last 40 to 50 yards. There are some big bucks running this piece(including a huge 6 pt I got trail camera shots of and posted about here) and hopefully I'll get to put an arrow through soon.I shot the buck with my Crackerized 68 lb '04 Pearson Edge.My arrows are 250 CX Maxima Hunters tipped with a 100 grain Wasp Boss Bullets. The bow is also equipped with a Viper Predator hunter sight and TR Drop Zone Rest.I was also using a Scott Silverhorn release. The buck dressed out at 145 lbs.Oh,and the land owner was glad to see the deer up close.
