Buck down fellas. It grossed right at 94", actually a bit above that, but I can't remember the fraction and the airline has currently lost my rack(s x3), so for now I guess we will stick to that score? I won't officially enter it until the antlers arrive here at my house though. Well over P&Y for the species, but a smallish entry for this contest, none the less...we SHOULD be in the lead for now. Check my ongoing thread for pics/story.

Man, I see Trev is really pulling this team through. He's been gone for a period of time and Ya'll still haven't come up with a team name? May I suggest "Team Caught With Our Pants Down" or perhapes, "Team Molasses in Janurary". But then you could also go with, "Team Wait'n 4 Christmas" or "Team Late for Supper" LOL....

Good luck Team 3...You fellers knock em Dead!

Sweet Trev, you know how I feel about that!

Doug, best of luck while you're here. I wish there were a way I could meet you-I would enjoy sharing a beer! But, I'm off to the Artic on Friday and will not be back until you're gone.

Deerslayer, thanks for the Team 14 visit...lol. Your words were like water off a duck's back-nice try though. LOL...stop in again and share a victory brew with us when we take this thing!

    All the best!

Entered him fellas. I am STILL baffled at how I was 3" over on the official mass measurements using the EXACT same scoring method as I first did. The only thing I can come up with is that draining the velvet of blood and preserving it with the tanning solution caused it to dry up and shrink slightly since the initial scoring when he first hit the dirt. Regardless, for a week or two we should be in the lead with 91 1/8"

Hopefully I tip over a doe early this month in September to finish off my season as far as the contest goes.

Good luck fellas, lets win this thing!

Almost killed my doe in my first sit of the year sunday evening. Same camo, cameraman, farm, time of year, everything as the time I killed my doe last year....so i changed my original plan of buck only to shooting a doe to stick with a new tradition :D, but it didn't pan out. Had a doe and fawn jog through within range but never stopped for a shot. had two twin orphaned fawns bed down 30 yards away, and saw ANOTHER set of twin orphaned fawns across the field. 1 Doe and 5 fawns spotted (just noticed the pun). Anyone else getting out there yet? Unless I hunt this farm again, I will likely go back to buck hunting, but if I hunt a place I don't plan on going after a buck...it'll be doe whacking time.

I've been getting quite a few pictures of some small 1 1/2 old bucks on this one particular piece of property that I bowhunt. Then today when I checked my camera I got pictures of these two nice bucks. No daytime shots of the bigger one yet.

They are young, but sure would be hard to pass on them. Especially the first one, he looks a little older.

Oh Man!!!!!! I don't remember getting any notifications for this thread so I thought I would stop in and see if anything is up. Low and behold Iamyourhuckleberry is talking smack.

Not that it matters for this contest, but I had a 125ish 9 point at 35 yards last night with no shot presented. Didn't get the camcorder turned on until it was nearly too late anyway. I set up about 50 yards into the woods off a bean field I thought they were using....turns out it was a killer spot with great potential. I hope to be back in there monday or tuesday afternoon.
