Top 2 target bucks right here for me. They have been in one heck of a routine daylight walking yet so fingers crossed! WI season opens this coming Saturday! Messenger_creation_335F43A5-C90C-4C7C-BD3D-B8F9BF5B50B7.jpeg

Unfortunately my "super nice" neighbor was rolling around on his ATV all weekend so i opted to not go in after the bucks. Was 87° here most of the weekend but cooled off pretty quick at night. I sat out in a different stand hoping for a doe or two. I hit one but didnt find her. re-evaluating the shot afterward im pretty sure i had too steep of an angle (at 11 yds) and never penetrated the boiler room so she will be fine. Ill be at it again this next weekend. Plenty of season to go! Currently hearing Dads words of wisdom-thats why its called hunting & not shopping!

That is such a great name. Harvest is starting slowly around here. Hopefully get this deer moving around.

Well I went to a 3 D shoot this weekend. My knee felt good walking the 3 .2 mile course. 42 targets.
I shot pretty good 421 out of 462.

my knee is getting stronger. Walking down hill and or down steps is getting easier. As soon as I can walk down steps with very little assistance from the hand rail. I will be in a tree my ladder stands or my climber. By way things are going. It should be before my wife and I go to Maine 10/02/24.

Same thing around here, corn is starting to come out of the fields, beans were quite a bit further behind due to a wet stretch we had. We'll be in Chicago this weekend for a hockey tournament.

Opening day was 3 days ago here in MO. It's too damn warm to go set and sweat in the woods. Hope it's cooling off for y'all.

My Tru Fire release is acting up, calipers will not hold the d loop. I’ve punched myself in the mouth 2X.

I contacted Feradyne outdoors, they are sending me a new one. So I was using my back up release , same one an “edge”. And now this one will not fit. The calipers will NOT open to fire. I gotta contact Feradyne outdoors again. ( Made in China Crap)
