Hey Mud, it was the most perfect of shots, probably the best shot I've ever had. Worst of all, I didn't take a picture with my bow!!! I know, I'm the biggest dumba$$ on the team, I apologize! It shouldn't be very hard to kill another doe though.

On a good note, this is the first deer I've shot since I changed my arrow set-up. I had always shot Gold Tip 5575's and was driving tacks however I would get very few if any complete pass-throughs. This began to bother me, I was spending way too much time looking for deer I knew were dead. 2 maybe 3 years ago I changed to the Gold Tip Kinetic Kaos 300's which were a much stiffer arrow than what I had been shooting, I also upped the weight on my broadhead from 100 to 125.
My feet are at 11' in the tree I'm in due to all of the small trees around, I tried 15' but couldn't see more than 15 yards in any direction. I shot this deer at about 20 yards ish and had to "pull" the arrow out of the ground. I don't know if a shoulder blade would stop this set-up but I'm not going to shoot one there just to see. I was at roughly 375 grains on my previous set-up, I'm btw 515.3 and 516.4 with this set-up and love it. Crazy how much quieter my bow is with the heavier set-up. The doe was on eggshells but didn't even flinch when the arrow hit her and expired within 40 yards.

@foodplot19 , no worries on the score bro , it’s gonna take a miracle for somebody to beat team 5 , they have all scored 2 deer except 2 of them. You kill what you want and when you want.

Sounds like a great set up for you. Now put an arrow thru a buck.
    Good luck

Hey guys ! Just checking in. I actually went back up to Missouri last week and tried to hunt a few days but the rain and the fog ( I did say fog right ??) kicked my butt all week. Saw a few deer but none were in bow range. I’m back in Alabama now and the rut is just starting to kick in here. I have several target does on camera here. I know for sure I can get one for us. Just need to get out in the woods and get it done. We sure do need some points. We have not added much lately. I know we may not have a chance to catch up but we still can make a good showing if the ones is us that are still hunting can get a few deer on the ground. Good luck to all of you and hope to post again soon.
