Well, we are back from Missouri. The 120 3/8 buck was all I got. Really slow movement for us. Out of the 6 days we saw a good many but not the numbers we usually see. According to the locals they moved good last week. A lot of our bucks are still together and fighting. They have not really broken out chasing independently yet. We did see some pushing on the does but does are still protective of their yearlings and nowhere interested in the bucks yet. We head back for another bow hunt in two weeks.
Hey Team tagged out my buck last night. I will get it measured up and posted. I will definitely be asking for help adding the score. But heres a few pics for now Sent from my SM-S908U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Well my hunt had to end short. But for a good reason. My son shot his first deer with a bow and it was a stud. I bet it weighed 300 pounds alive. He made the perfect shot at 15 yards. And the deer ran only 50 yards. He said he saw trees moving when it went down.
Wow! Congratulations to you and your son! What a great buck! Sent from my SM-S908U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I was able to get out this weekend. Saturday morning was a bust Saturday evening seen a bunch of deer had several does in range just couldn’t make myself shoot one. I was after one particular buck that had been coming in late in the afternoon, but he was a no-show. The goal this week or this weekend whichever one comes first that I can get out is to shoot the first mature doe without any fawns, still hot and dry in my area temperature in the upper 80s. Im headed to Kansas November 5 so hopefully I can gain confidence by shooting something before I leave. Junior and Ethridge those are 2 great looking bucks congrats!!
Go to the Bowhunting.com website on the computer and do it on there where it’s easier. You should see the link. I entered min the other day.
I agree with your estimate Mudshark. It would be nice to go ahead and get those points on the board for the team. Hopefully Junior can get it scored soon. Everyone needs to tighten up because it’s about to be game time. Let’s get some bone on the ground or smack a Nanny !
