Just a reminder guys, 2 pictures of you, animal, and bow. Also dont forget to post the basics such as gear and date/time. Good luck, and lets see some points!
Good day yesterday morning and evening. In the morning I was glassing my girlfriend miss her target buck LOL only to have another nice buck, a 100" 8 point which I passed at 30 yards since it was headed right to her, little did I know she had her eyes on the target buck, a smaller 8 and never knew the bigger one stood 15 yards behind her... fast forward to evening, with her target buck in range, I passed on two mature doe, one a target doe that runs of some bucks, we named her crank, her tail is frozen in place sideways making her very noticeable... I passed her even though she was easily in range... it's only the first day. :-)
No points from me this weekend. Saw 5 does/fawns move through 50-60 yards away through the woods Saturday morning. Got rained out Sat evening. No deer Sunday am and had a button buck at 12 yards Sunday evening in my food plot. His mama and the rest of them stayed in the woods eating acorns. I'm not that desperate to shoot a BB just yet.
Well, I'm sick as a dog. Spent more time on the pot than on the couch. Puking my guts out. But I'm hoping it will pass soon so I can get back in a tree. Sucks to be sitting here while there's deer to be killed.
I decidedto take my bow into the shopbecause it hasn't been shooting right or it doesn't feel right at leastthe local shop by my house is now out of business so that was an inconvenience. So yesterday I had to go to Springfield Illinois for workand brought my bow with me.I took it to Scheels and they fixed it it was completely off key I stepped on it while checking cameras last year and the local archery shop fixed it/ f***** up last yearso now I have to read Re-sight it and then I'll be ready to go. I'm not a huge fan of hunting warm weather, so I'm saving my strength for late October.
Thanks guys, I have my 2 photos with bow for the scorecard and I'll do that next as well as a write up for the Bowhunting forum. http://forums.bowhunting.com/bowhunting-talk/54047-its-just-doe-bdd-yeah-ok.html (Link to story)
Hey Fellas, I apologize I'm a little late... but i had to take care of everything right away. This is my second priority though.. so here ya go Now I'm going to go post it on my scorecard with the second picture and the score and etc... 104 3/8 by the way!
First buck down for the Deadly Dozen. Congrats Berwick. That will help in the standings. You PA guys are knocking em down.
Heck yeah man! Congrats! This weekend muzzle loader is open in both NC and GA, so I think I'll go to our farm in Georgia and check out some new stuff and maybe take my son for an afternoon sit. I foresee more bone and points from you guys in the near future, good luck out there guys....have fun!
Congrats guys. I hope to get out for the first time this year on Saturday. Winds are very strong tonight and are supposed to be strong Saturday.
I got out on Saturday afternoon hoping the winds would die down. They did, after I left for home. The gusts were up to 30 MPH and the tree was swinging. I saw a fawn in the food plot for about 15 minutes and a doe spooked and snorted around 5 P.M. This is the largest buck that I have on camera so far. No one is seeing anything big on cam or while hunting. I hope the cold front changes things. Also, a local farm had nine wolves removed recently and they are seeing more there.
