Well guys, bad news. I was unable to find my deer. Absolutely kills me when this sort of thing happens. My only hope if is that one of the guys who hunt on the property that the trail went cold on will find him somewhere. Always amazes me at how tough these whitetails are. But at this moment I gotta keep the faith and keep at it. Good luck to all of you guys out hunting, I'll be out Wednesday night only I can find my deer before then.

Well in lighter news I got us 50 more points Saturday. Wish I could get 50 points each but not bad for my first official sit. I'ok post pics tomorrow and add one to the board. Man was it fun shooting deer and tracking again. I love this sport. Also I have a #1 target buck. He's a beaut. He's bedding in my black op stand.

Season closed Saturday guys and I'm still holding my buck tag for only the second time in 10 years... I was hunting specific animals... I still have 2 Saturdays in rifle season that I will bowhunt and then second season... it's not over but the odds just got worse.

I did however call in and kill a turkey, first with a bow in PA...

I was at full draw on this guy last night at 25 yards facing me. If he turns right he's at the taxidermist. If he turns left I have no shot and he walks.

He turned left and is still walking. Sooooo close.

Nice John. I've somehow misplaced my SD card, but it has two monstrous looking bucks on it. They are both pissed off at my Mock Scrape several night they are visiting this. one was the night before I was out there. Good news is I have several Does and smaller bucks hitting this Mock scrape all day long. I'm going out Thursday to try and get one of these big fellow down prior to the lunch of the orange army. I will not have service for a couple of days, so Hopefully I can post Friday sometime. This one buck is possibly in the 170's at my first glance. I'm not professional, but I did stay at a Holiday inn express. The one thing I do know is that the deer are on the move NOW, or at least in my neck of the woods. I'll be hitting the woods more now that I know what's out there. My evil plan is almost complete.

Went out Friday for the shotgun opener and had a single doe then later on a little Basket 9pt. Nothing worth shooting. I'm on call Next week, so there won't be any hunting for me. I might find time the week after Thanksgiving. I have the entire week off, but I'm also tiling the dining room, kitchen and laundry room. FUNFUNFUN!

Back from shotgun hunting. Didn't see a buck worth shooting and not really looking to kill another doe yet.

But I did kill a Yote.

I'll be out tomorrow night, and Wednesday but the following week is gun week and I'll have the smoke pole in the stand, stuff has been so slow this year, still stand corn on the far side of my property so I think that may be part of the reason my sightings havent picked up.. Good luck to you guys! Keep at it, can't give up yet!

First two weeks of november wasn't anything like I had hoped for. Seen two big boys just no shot. I'll be heading back out on thanksgiving and I'll be hitting it hard this weekend.
