Congrats guys and keep up the work! I've got football game tonight and homecoming tomorrow evening. But no worries I'll get out in the morning and let you all know what happens

Well this morning has been awful. I started out waking up at 6 which is late for me then I get to the stand and realize I forgot my phone. Then I look at my trail cam and it's open so I either forgot to turn it on or someone tampered with it. Finally I have yet to lay eyes in a deer. But a morning in the woods is better than one on the couch so I'll take it

It wasn't a good day for those people that were hunting 50 yards from me either. If they want their stand back they'll have to come get it but I doubt they will because of how far it was on our property. Always another day to get in the woods and the way I'm lookin at it I got a tree stand out of the deal unless they come to get it then we'll have a heart to heart and I'll send them about their way with the tree stand.

Alright boys. I'll be hitting it hard the next few weeks. Unfortunately, my company walked 17 of us out the door on Wednesday. So my new job will be hunting. Hunting for a new job to provide for my family. Fortunately, my wife works too so that will help but not sure how much I will hunt. I may sneak in some mid day hunts just so I don't lose my mind.

Pulled cams but didn't get any big ones except a big bodied deer with some weird horns. I did find 2 rubs that destroyed 2 trees I couldn't get my hand halfway around and Ive got some big hands

Just caught a lil pre rut action through the binos looked like a small fork horn or a spike with his head down behind 2 mature does an a fawn so its starting to heat up a lil bit. That was the first buck I saw all season. Maybe a big one will come in now I have a scrape going plus a new scent im trying out. This is all a part of me not only trying to pattern deer but also in an effort to harvest a good buck. We will see how it goes over the next few weeks going into to pre rut. [IMG]
