I just missed a BIG doe... she dropped and the arrow just went right over her. Oh well... At least I found where they're entering this field. I'll give them a few days and try again. Tomorrow I'll be at my Amish buddy's farm again.

perfect night here in Ohio. No wind and 47 degrees. At about 630pm had 2 does come in followed by 4 more. Just watched them graze the clover and brassicas. Then suddenly to my left I heard about 3 grunts. Then like a bat outta hell this buck is coming straight for the does with his nose to the ground. They all take off up the field and he chases. A doe was still underneath my stand and he makes a bee line straight for me. He is standing 20 yards right in front of me, but I can only make out 3 tines on one side. I wasnt sure which buck he was so had to let him walk tonight. Unfortunately ran out of legal light. Looks like the pre-rut festivities have begun!! Im gonna be in the stand as much as possible and hopefully give one of these big boys a dirt bath! good luck yall

we had a low pressure move in a few days ago. highs in the 50's and lows in high 30's. supposed to move back up into 60's but this colder weather has really got them to start moving

Sounds awesome an honestly I gave my antlers a soft rattle this evening just to see if I could get a response 20 min later I saw that doe cross down the way. Still no buck sightings yet. Im thinking the cooler weather is gonna set things in motion also.

    Hey guys...
As I was leaving the woods last evening I watched a 4 or 6-pointer running does in the far field about 300 yards away (through my binoculars). He was really doggin' 'em. The action in this area is starting to pick up!

Got some pics of a decent up and comin buck and a scrub 6 point that's probably 4 or 5 years old. Haven't seen any Giants besides that one on the beginning of the year. Hopefully he'll show up in the next couple weeks

Weather is suppoded to be unseasonably warm in WI this weekend. I'll be home to take my kiddo trick or treating then hitting it hard. Hopefully the following week brings a cold front.

Jeffrey, we are supposed to see temps in the low 60 s normal is probably low 50 s. It does get darn cold here come winter. I've hunted and ice fished single digit temps before.

NOTHING... there were 3 of us hunting the BIG farm and none of us saw anything. Really strange if you ask me. Wind was right ... Just a really dull sit. Albeit was better than sitting on the couch.
