Got up close an personal with an elk today for the first time haven't saw a bull yet but maybe one day fingers crossed lol but they are massive an quite the interesting species maybe one day I will get lucky an be able to hunt one of these beast.
That's so cool! The only time I've seen one of them was on a farm that raised them for using their horns to make things. That's teally cool though!
Sweet to see one so close up The closest I ever came to a BIG animal was a moose. She ran along side our van for a few yards while I was driving down the highway. She was as tall as the van - scared the bejeepers outa' me!
I bet she did well these elk are on a National Guard Camp Ground so they're well protected an like most states there can only be so many harvested in Oklahoma but she wasnt scared the yearling that was with her spooked but she just stood there so ik enjoyed lookin at her for a minute an went on I do some work in there from time to time an every time I see a different animal Hogs Whitetail Etc im talkin thousands of acres. a guy there showed me a pic of a bull an it definitely was a boone an crocket class Elk very unique animal imo
Just waiting patiently for Oct 1 im gonna move my camera again this weekend over to the food plot to c whats movin over the weekend before opening day.
