    Another Morning Sit
Winds are out of the North West and it's -14 with a high of+1,will sit in a stand where Troy sat and killed his buck here 9 years ago. Haven't hunted this property all year. I always save it for the rutt as the farmer has dairy cows and he doesn't pull them out of the bush till mid October. I like to let the deer get used to the bush by them selves before I come into the picture.. Hopefully I could put a tag on a cruising buck or doe. Good luck guys and be safe out there. Will up date when I get back in this afternoon. Wowzer wife just informed me the time has been set back an hour. So I have a little time to kill:bash:.Change of plans,it gets lighter earlier LMAO Gotta git:bash: Lay some down on the ground boy's.

Nice job Sean! I am at it again this morning. The bucks are cruising quite a bit so I just need to be in the right place at the right time. Hopefully that senario wasn't yesterday. I passed a 140 class 10 in the morning. Great looking buck but not quite what I am after. Good Luck today! I will be waiting for updates

GO get em guys! Passing 130 and 140 inch bucks---hahahaha! I want to strangle you two. :) I hunt a 50,00 acre public land spot and some years not a single buck over 130 inches is killed.

I have a busy day ahead of me but will be checking back to see WHEN you guys put some deer on the ground.

    Good luck DTK and YF.

Nice job Sean, how long did it take to stop shaking after you got her? I also can't wait for a buck to come my way. I wish they would show up before dark. Keep up the good work...

Burglar, To be honest I wasn't shaking. It felt more like It used to when I would score a goal in back when I played Hockey, just super pumped!

Well the little guys are the only one's cruising,I saw 3 different mature doe's with out a buck on them. Actually a doe was right out front when a spike jumped the fence a few minutes after her and he gave her one look and went and tore up a bush. Actually he was a 3x2 1 1/2 old.He walked right up to my tree my stand was in and sniffed the pee I took on the tree beside me. Should have saved it and peed on his head ,LMAO j/k. I also rattled in a 120ish 4x4 and he came in 15 minutes after the other 2 and that was it for the day.Man I just made it as it was almost sun up when I got in my stand this morning because of the time change. Didn't matter anyways ,shoot straight Fitz. Done till Friday now then I'll sit for 6 days straight, hopefully the rutt kicks in by then. It might be a late rutt up here due to the warmth. I'll be a cheerleader till Friday guys. Go get a few more for the board.

Keep at it YF. You are starting to see some serious action.

I was notified by my wife today that I will be losing another one of my planned full day rut hunts. :( That means my rut hunting boils down to this Friday and Saturday. Last year my wife got injured and required surgery so I missed many rut hunts as well. SO I made a decision today. I put down the recurve and picked up my old compound for this Friday and Saturday. Me and my 2002 Reflex Excursion have reunited as long lost KILLING friends. I shot for 30 minutes and was accurate to 25 yards. It felt weird to shoot a compound after not having done so for almost a year.

Another slick head bites the broadhead! Had a decent 8 come and check her out as she laid dead, was about 90 yards away. Never came any closer. Forgot to press record on the shot but I got video of the 8, terrible quality and you cant see anything. My mistake was zooming in, just a Kodak Zi8. No chasing as of yet.

Sean, Good luck buddy! I'm looking forward to the BBD txt!

KSK, way to go on the second doe!

Hunt tonight was aweful. The 9 mph winds grew to 22mph with 36 mph gusts! Not fun. Luckily my dad decided to hunt by me after I had left, so I hitched a ride in his boat. It would have been a mess getting home in the canoe!!

I'm headed out tomorrow night if it calms down a bit, otherwise it'll wait until my buddy Nick gets here for all day hunts tues-thurs :tu:

This is HighTower in 07,been after him since 07,in this pic he's 160ish and has now grown into a 190+buck with tons of mass and has grown another drop tine too. I had him at 17 yards this spring when I was moving my stand to get a better shot at him. Last year I missed him at 47 as I under shot him and it went under his belly in -36 after 7 hours of sitting.

    Tank
Been after Tank for 2 years now and had him at under 25 yards on 3 different occasions last year. He always walked in behind the willows you see in the picture that are just to the right of him, here I'd score him at maybe 185,this year his left tine has grown in equal to his right tine which is 8 inches and sprouted 2 more tines this year making him a 6x6 too. He's of the same 45 acres as High Tower and Full Curl whom is I'm guessing 215 this year. I can't find his picture for some reason. I sent it to Troy, maybe he can post it.I named him tank because he'll hit the 300lbs +mark.

Well maybe it was karma yesterday, but all I saw was a couple small bucks chasing a doe and the doe busted me before I could get a shot off. It should be a lot better day today weatherwise, cooler and less wind. Plus there is a front coming in that is bringing some rain:(, but maybe the front will get things moving.
