Keep putting in the hard work guys. It is really cool to see how people hunt all over the country. Pay off time is coming soon.

Ducked behind the house last night after getting a few things done after work. 3 fawns all at 10 yds. (I was on the ground). Where is momma? Another doe & fawn skirted the edge of the woods about 100 yds away. I've had 4 deer in range so far this year all fawns. They keep it up & I'm gonna be eating veal :)

Looks like tomorrow will be my next hunt (#4). Have to do a bunch of stuff around the resort and church today. One of my wife's friends is coming up for a visit this weekend, so they have plans all day Sat leaving me to watch the Lodge, but it looks like I still might get out Sunday night.

Checked one of my cams during my walk yesterday, had a bunch of does, a beaver and a yote (possibly a young wolf). After this weekend, things drastically slow down at the resort, so I'll be looking at spending some substantial TIW!

Finally heard a good bull sound off last night, 3 times.. too late in the evening to crawl out of my stand to go after him. Gonna take a couple days off next week and get after the elk. Had a doe and fawn come by is all last night. Watched one buck at about 200 yards feed, 2.5 year old. Back after them again tonight :)

Well unfortunately I have to take off work tomorrow to attend a funeral, but it isn't until late morning so I will be out for a hunt before hand. I will likely get out tomorrow evening and again Saturday. I am not sure if I am going to make the drive to Ohio or not. The weather is gonna be warm & rainy, doesn't seem worth the drive to me.
Good luck to those getting outthis weekend!

Did you get my text about "not" hearing any big bulls so far... LOL Gonna go try and find him tonight.. they were headed my way when I snuck out in the dark..hoping they are on the mountain/clearcut this evening..

Good luck with the bull Troy! Was at full draw in a 320" bull a few days ago. No dice, cow winded me. Ready for a break. According to GPS I covered 6.78 miles today through nasty country, I'm beat!

Good luck to everyone else that will be out this weekend. Once elk season ends I will be hanging stands and preparing for deer hunting.

Well the big boy wouldnt even speak last night..nor would the cows.. the wind was bad bad on that ridge so I high tailed it across the mountain to a secluded water/wallow hole... called in two spikes.. Killed the first one that came in.. Details in the bowhunting forum.. Under ..." Destroyer 2 critters 0 " back after it again tonight.. got another elk tag.. :) and will be hunting big whitetails too in my honey hole! Up late last night.. feeling good though to have my freezer meat in for the winter.
