I have not started running trail cams for deer yet. I am busy trying to get my first black bear. I put most of my stock of shooting a buck in my trip to Kansas. This year I am leaving Nov 9th. A little later than the past couple years.
i have had cams out since june. I will post some of the smaller bucks pics later once we get started.
Hey Tom the only way you could possibly win this one is if your son was on your team..................... So since he is going to shot that monster you have on your property your out BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
I am about in the same postion as Z7Sooner no bucks to speak of just small basket rack 8s. I did applied for a managed deer hunt and I should have enough preferrence points to get it this year. There are nice bucks in that area, but it is earn a buck so I have to take a doe first and it is only 9 days so i will need some luck if I get it. I will find out Sept 14th and the hunt is late Oct. early Nov. My season starts Sept 15th and I plan on taken the first doe in range to get those points on the board. Well hope you guys have good luck with the cameras.
One of our posting gurus give him a hand. I want to see some of them Kansas bucks. It will get me excited for my trip.

I got one good buck on public land this year 8 pointer. I plan on buying some cheap lock on's and sticks soon. I'll put them up but take the bottom two sticks home so noone can use or steal my stands. but on public land any buck will be my first buck with a bow and I'm taking it down. so don't look to me for high scores. I'm hoping for 100 points. one doe and one buck, anything more it just extra. after lookin at last years scores, a lot of teams had no scores for some members. So if everyone kills one we can get way up there and if one or two kill bucks then we win, simple.
Whats your email? I am pretty computer savvy and have gotten error messages in every format I have tried posting them...
In the meantime, here is a video I put together a few weeks ago...should give you a decent idea of what I am going after...
by the way...WAR DAMN EAGLE! I might live in basketball land, but been an aubie since I was in diapers...
Well i am running behind this year still working on a lease of about 200 acres along the Kansas/Missouri border looks like it will all come together about the time season starts, But it will be a multiple year deal so it's been worth the wait. A friend lives next to the property and he says they all pass on 140" deer every year so hopefully I will see alot of deer right off the bat.
MoHunter, I spend quite a bit of time in your area. I have a time share at Big Cedar, just got home from there 2 weeks ago. Beautiful area you live in!
Thanks! We love it here, there is always plenty to do, Were on Tablerock every weekend. Big Cedar is quite a place we eat dinner down there a couple times a year. You should give me a shout next time your down!
So as far as i can tell wiaxle is still a no show. I hope everyone else is happy with the name and avatar. Does anyone on our team get to get out before October? Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
Our expanded archery season starts next Saturday, this is in some of the urban areas in Maine. I have a few spors I will hit as time allows. Between my sons football, daughters soccer and bear hunting time will be a little tight. I will actually be gone for the first week of our regular archery season. The wife and i are going to the dominican republic for a week.
That's sounds great dmen Have a great trip. Make sure you share pics with us from your bear hunt. I hope i get to go on one myself one day Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
Speaking of bears, I went out to check my camera yesterday, a bears at my sight the evening after I put it out and the next day. Then no more pics, the bears had beat my camera around bad enough to dislodge batteries, had nearly chewed the strap in to. First time I have ever gotten bear pics and the sorry suckers had to be the star of the show and keep me from any deer pics
