That was a great thread atlas, glad that you and your family have had such a great season. Memories like those are priceless!
Thanks guys, I put a tape on that 6 point and it came out at 108 and change. less than 3 inches of that were browtines so it had 105+ inches just on a 4 point/forked horn frame. Now if I can get one like that with my bow...

Heading out to some public land in the morning to try and get a doe. Wish me luck! Wouldn't be upset if a buck or turkey walked by either:) hope you guys are doing good and seeing plenty of deer!

Went to one of my public spots this morning. My best friend who's never killed a deer wanted to go. We just carried In a couple chairs and he sit beside the same cedar tree with me. About 730 I decided to do a few doe bleats with my can. Less than a minute later a doe fawn came running straight at me. She stopped 6 yards away on the other side of the tree we were sitting beside. She finally turned an went behind another tree, when she did that I told him to draw she stepped out 12 yards broadside to me but didn't give him a shot! So close I could have shot her but wanted him to take one. She finally turned around an went back the other way. Not 5 mins later two doe came in behind us to our other side. I told him to stand up an draw (because they were back behind to our right) the lead doe stepped in a clearing and I meh'ed her. She stopped dead in the middle he let an arrow fly and right over her back it went! I couldn't believe it 23 yards!! Turns out he thought it was 30. So close! We ended up seeing 3 more but none within range. Maybe next time!

Going to be hitting the woods this afternoon. The rut is live and well here, as it is always a little later in the northeast. Also planning on an all day sit Saturday. I am hoping to atleast make visual contact with a deer, getting a shot would be icing on the cake.

I am in a tree for what will likely be my last sit of the year. Plan on sitting all day, but will see how my old body feels at noon. Its about 18 degrees with some light snow. Good luck to anyone else out today. Another nice buck and we can take the lead back.

Oh wow I am sorry to hear that mike I hope that person gets caught and they put it to him and take all his stuff. Man it makes me so mad hearing these stories I am trying to be a game warden when I retire from the military.
