So after further calculations, I must have added 10 inches in somewhere...just went back and re scored my sheet and he grosses 128 2/8. So now I have a little ground shrinkage and score sheet shrinkage, but still (barely) my biggest public land kill... IMG_1353.jpg

Going to post scores in score thread as soon as someone tells me gross or net :).

well BOTH my number one and two hitlist bucks were KILLED within 30 min of opening day of shotgun season yesterday....each neighbor that lives on each side of me killed on .....Ill post more later but it goes something like this.... these bucks were my life for 9 months...i have logged over 80+ hours in the stand hunting them....the man that killed my big 8 ....rolled out of bed at 710 and seen this buck running the property line so he garbed his shotgun and ran outside and BOOM shot and missed and the stupid thing stood there and he smoked it the second shot!!!!!

not is falt and im just really frustrated by it ...

Great job Guys, I went out to public land today after 2 different private land hunts got cancelled at last minute. Saw a coyote in the morning, and some squirrles. But hunted next to the interstate on some cut soy fields in the afternoon and saw 8 does and a bobcat. I'm pyched to see some deer now to get a plan based on the movement I saw today. Keep it up, hunt safe.

Nice deer Cunningham Congrats! Well been up for 21 hrs now had a slow morning and seen no deer till 3:00 pm and they started moving like crazy the closest shooter came in to 68 yards and he did not like the decoy and took off! I did get a picture of him on the game camera the wind was just not right for the stand where he is tending a scrape at 20 yards so i tried to call him in but he just wouldn't cooperate! I will try and post the game picture and then just at dark i got another shooter headed my way just ran out of light ended up seeing 13 deer total, If the wind will cooperte i think i will have a good chance at him!

Well i made it back home safely to my family after a long trip to Kansas. I unfortunately did not tag a buck, i saw some nice ones on the last 2 days, but they were either dogging does or looking for does. They were not reacting to any calling. I had a great hunt and logged about 80 hrs in the last week of hunting. I have no regrets, i set a standard and stuck to it, it just did not materialize. I am off this week at home and will hunt a little, but i need to spend some time with my wife and kids as well. Sorry for not scoring, this is a great team and i hope we can still pull it off.

Ok if I figured this out right so far we are getting bumped out of first and down by 129 2/8"
but we are still holding strong guys.
I know we can take this I would love for us to win so that we can keep our team together for next year.
We still have room for 7 more bucks and 1 doe.
    Lets knock em fellas

No one in my group of 4 killed a deer during firearm season. I didn't even see a deer until Sunday, and it was over 200 yards away. The good news, if there is any, is that there were very few shots fired in my area. So I'm hoping that there are still some good bucks in the area.

Gonna try and get off early tomorrow and sit in the same stand I did on saturday where I saw several does and a bobcat. hope they come by the stand this time. Which raises a question. Do I move stand based on the movement I saw that one time or stay with my stand that I have been in before and hope the deer cooperate better?

    That's a tufff one.
After gun season i usually move to the deer.
But i have stands set up all over my property just for that reason.
I would say sit it if your not seeing movement and you can Magee a quick quiet move go for it

Went out on some public this evening ended up seeing 7. Pretty good sized buck and 6 does(not together). Pretty good time just nothing in bow range. Going to try again tomorrow night.
