Have seen 3 bucks and a doe so far. Nothing i want to shoot, just moved from a fence line wide open stand into a timber area with well made deer runs thru out

Really slow day. From 10-4 did not see anything. Back at it tomorrow for another all day sit

Its 24 out right now with a light dusting of snow.

 

Good luck guys! I sit all day saturday and only seen 2 does and a 4 pointer, The wind was blowing so hard and temp. was in the 70s. I took my nepew that i got into bow hunting this summer and he stuck it out with only seeing 2 does in the morning for an all day sit and right at dark had a doe come in under his stand and he got his first deer so all was good, Now he is ready for a buck! LOL The guy i went in with on the lease went up yesterday and with the cold temps the bucks were chasing does everywere. He seen 2 large bucks but could not get a shot at either and then right at dark he had a 8 come in on him and he got his first deer it went about 30 yards and went down! Now if i did not have to work this week it would be a great time to be in the woods, Looks like i will be back out Saturday all day so hopefully they will still be chasing. Sorry so long but will try to put a nice buck down for the team, Man there has been alot of deer put down great job!

 

I hunted morning and evening Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I did not see a deer all weekend. Ugh. I'm done bowhunting for at least 10 days. Our gun season starts this Friday, so I'll be out there chasing them with the 12ga.

There is no movement where i am at in Kansas right now. Seeing smsll bucks and does in the early am but no midday movement. Hoping it picks up.

 

This is crazy. 3 days of heavy winds.
Woke up 24 out light dusting of snow prefect wind.
Not one deer had moved thru here so far

We made it! Lets try and stay there! LOL I feel pretty good about Saturday, There is 2 large bucks staying in the area where i have 2 stands hung for different winds, moved some cameras around last weekend and I am sure i will have the 2 largest bucks on camera, I will post them if I got them and with any luck I will have 1 down to go with it! Good luck everyone, we are going to need alot more points to maintain the lead. The hunting is tough right now. I have 3 days left, and I am getting a little panicy. Saw the first sign of chasing this morning. Saw 8 different buck, but all were small except one, and he would not come in range. Just went to wallyworld and bought Mr. October decoy, but I am going to use him as Ms.October, as the bucks are not aggressive towards each other at all. I will keep going hard, it can all change in seconds, that is the beauty of hunting the midwest.

Great job, and most of us have not killed a buck yet. we have a great chance, keep it up.

 

Well fellas tomorrow starts the first 3 days gun season here.
I have never shot a buck with my shotgun before. But I honestly hope I get one at the big boy that I have been watching for a few years now. I would love nothing more than to take him out with my bow but after the last time I saw him and missed. I will put him down with my gun if I have a chance.
