Hey Z7Sooner do you shot the Z7 extreme? And if so how do you like it? I got to shot one about 3 times and I am pretty much sold on it but I was wanting more opinons.

I used to shoot the extreme. I really liked it a lot but it was not very forgiving considering I have a 29" draw and once drawn it is about 24" ata.
I killed several deer with it last season even one at 42 yards thru some really heavy brush with a full pass thru on a hard quartering away shot.
best advice for you is shoot what ever you feel the most confident and comfortable with.

I use to shoot the Z7 not the extreme. It was a nice bow I just couldnt never shoot it worth a flip. Had the DXT before that and love that bow. I now shoot a Heli-M. I LOVE this bow. Can't find anything bad about it. It's def a sweet shooter. I just havnt changed my user name on here and trading the Z7 in. The Extreme is awesome I'm sure you would be really happy with it.

How do you like the Element Mike? I shot one a few times before I bought my new one. Just did'nt see anything worth the extra 500$ to make me buy it. They are def sweet though. My good friend has one and loves it.

The main thing i can tell you about the element is you don't need to as anything to it to make it balance perfect in your hand
There is no vibration our hand shock what so ever.
And the thing i like the most is out never gets cold.
You could be out all day until last light puck it up and the handle is still warm to the touch.

Well looks like verybody has checked in, very happy for that. I spent the weekend doing some squirrel hunting/scouting/food plotting on my lease. What few oaks there are seem to have a decent acorn crop so maybe I can get something moving into them early on in the season. We didn't get much rain but at this point every little bit helps

Hope you get some good pics Mike, and some young squirrels ready for the frying pan as well. I saw the question about squirrel hunting, and in my opinion it is one of the best ways to get ready for deer hunting. Moving slowly/quietly through the woods, small target, makes you aware of your surroundings. And if yall have some hickory trees up there there should be some in them cutting the nuts this time of year

Good luck with the squirrels! Seems like when I'm deer hunting I can't beat them off of me. Hardly see them when I'm hunting them. Early goose an teal season open here this coming weekend. Think I'll go chase them awhile. Anyone else going?

That sounds like a blast man, but I have never gotten in to it. I can't blow a call to save my life. I really enjoy wingshooting but other than a few doves, the extent of my wing shooting is just a little pass shooting ducks as they fly by. I will probably stick with the squirrels till bow season, i do like chasing them tree rats

Do you put your squirrels in a stew or fry them with gravy?

There is only one way to cook squirrels, if you know how to cook Fry them bad boys up. chickens are for dumplings and beef is for stews  Even the old tough squirrels get tender if you fry them and then crock pot them for an hour or 2. Then make some tators and gravy and have one of the best meals you will ever eat.

You get tired of sitting in a tree after thanksgiving let me know. I have a boat with a blind and EVERYTHING you need to kill ducks. Just let me know and I'll take you along. It's a blast.
