We are finally getting a few days of good soaking rain! Are the rest of you guys going to get any of this?
We are supposed to. I cant wait to go check my trail cams on tuesday. They have been soaking for about 3 weeks now. Hopefully we will have some good pics.
I actually have one trail camera that I'm going to have to move tonight. I put it near a stream, and we are expecting up to 8 inches of rain. I don't really want it submerged lol.
Do any of you squirrel hunt? I havent done it since i was a kid but i think I'm gonna take my brother out this week for his first hunt Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
I see them all the time deer and turkey hunting and used to shoot them out of the back yard as a kid, but never had much luck going squirrel hunting. It doesn't help that most my buddys don't like to eat them so I have nobody to go with. I am used to growing up and being part of a hunting club with 10,000 ac in south GA to get lost in and me and my brothers would always hunt with each other. But now that I am in MO I don't have my brothers or buddies to go with.
I grew up squirrel hunting. Had an uncle that raised squirrel dogs and we used to just be hell on them. Haven't gone as much since I have moved to the midwest.
And yes, we had about 10 hours of slow rain here in kansas and I had a couple farmers text me yesterday from Illinois saying that there was between 3 and 6 inches of rain depending on the location. That is great news for us as hunters but even better news for the farmers. It saved some bean crops (the corn is toast), was great for pastureland, and will give farmers around here the ability to plant wheat once they get the corn and beans out.
