Finally get to spend some time in a treestand. I've been waiting for this day since March.

Not yet. Only hunting for a few hours this morning. I worked all night and have to be back this afternoon. Plan to hunt all afternoon tomorrow.

 

Well I sat in the tree yesterday morning and saw a spike along with a doe & 2 fawns all within range. They all got the pass in hopes of seeing a bigger buck we have on camera. I'm at it again this morning

 

Yeah afternoons prolly best early season... well good luck wish I was out my season starts weds

It's a beautiful morning though the wind is strange... Easterly... (I'm in grove ok this morning). Ill be in maysville later checkin cams & doing some last minute chores.

Still at the beach, huh? Those shrimps are kinda scrawny!

 

Had a doe broadside at 15 yds. It would have been late by the time I had her on ice. Haven't slept and have be at work at 3:30. Let her walk. I'll be out all afternoon tomorrow.

 

i hunted 3 evenings this week and passed up several does, did see one small buck right at last light wed. evening out of range even if i had wanted to shoot. moved a tree stand to a spot i feel really good about and been checking cameras trying to find the bucks again. finally got a few bucks on camera at the place we lease but nothing real exciting.

I had 3 nice mature does 3.5 hours after i left the stand yesterday on camera that thing called work really ruins all the fun

I know the feeling I went out this morning... started to rain and I saw nothing! Then I had to run to work and of course it clears up this afternoon and all I could think about is f work lets go hunting lol

 

I'll be at it again Saturday. This time I'll be hunting my own family farm, I have a pretty good game plan but I'm hoping the weather permits. Calling for thunderstorms but I'm hoping the front passes sooner rather than later.

Nice! I haven't had any shooters on camera this year. Planning on hunting Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. I'm working 6 days a week 12 hours a day right now but I have vacation October 26 - November 1. One of my neighbors killed a toad Monday. 187"

Ill be at my place in Delaware county this weekend. I'm hoping this cold front has them moving. Sat morn will be our coldest morning this year. I'm hoping some acorns will be falling...
