Got this buck on camera along with a bunch of does and 3 smaller bucks. Had the camera out for a week and got 164 pics. Hopefully going out this coming weekend again and finishing up prep for the season. How old do you guy think this buck is? Not a very good angle but wanted to see if you guys had any guesses.

No way that deer is a 4.5 year old, 3.5 at the most, but I'm thinking he's a nice 2.5 year old. If he is a shooter to you MBS that's all that matters.

Yeah I have been wondering about that as well... What more is the captain responsible for?

So after more than two weeks and no word from our captain, I think he's officially MIA. I hope it's just that he's busy and not something bad that happened. So is everyone ready for the season, bows all sighted in, all equipment gone through and ready, all stands hung? The season opens next Sat here in WI, and I have everything ready. However I will not be going out until the first good cold snap in October. I hate hunting in heat, bugs, heavy foliage, plus I get caught up at work and home during the early part of the season. That way I can hunt hard from late Oct-November.

Oh boy am I ready! Planning for an afternoon hunt next Saturday after work. I was out today running some brush through the chipper with the hunting partners, hoping to maybe make some more area for the deer to bed in an effort to make the property a bedding area and not just a pass through property. I had 258 pictures during the last week, more than half of bucks, good sign I hope! Most of buck were during the wee hours of the night, but still cool to see. I got some pictures of a buck that is bigger than the one that I previously thought was my best deer. There is another buck that we had on camera last year that had an odd rack, he is back this year, if he walks by I will be shooting him to try and get rid of the bad genetics. I also had some pictures of does during shooting light. Before we left I moved the camera near my ladder stand on a trail, hoping to get some pictures of deer that will be in range of my stand.
Here are some pictures that I got, the first is the buck that we think has bad genes, he's on the left. The next two pictures are the best buck I have, any guesses on score/age?
When does everyone else start their season?

I'm very pumped! Won't get to hunt the opener in NH because I'm trying to change my residency and I'm waiting on a document... But, I will be scouting MA this weekend.

Also, just got my early bday present from the family...
