Friday I will be out in a very good spot at my uncles place that hasn't been hunted since I went 2 years ago.

Good luck Tony! Feeling good about your chances on a doe?

On another note, I was looking through my pictures last night. Look at the picture I found, this years buck and last years buck

Sweet pic Cole! I plan out going out tomorrow afternoon. I will be hunting a pond by a field of new growth of winter wheat that the deer are hammering. Hopefully since it is going to be very warm out(upper 60's) the does will come get a drink before going to eat and bring one of the big boys in with them :)

I'll be off and hunting Thursday-Sat AM. I've been receiving some reports of chasing in SW WI where I will most likely be heading. I would hunt around here for Cyclops, but my chances at tagging him are very minimal. I believe I found one of his bedrooms last evening in the rain while checking a trail cam. It is a stand of tree just off of a small marsh that extends out into a picked corn field. He would have great visibility (out of his one eye!) and be able to scent check anything when there is a West wind. It is loaded with rubs on the North side. I did not go any closer and I had a South wind so if he was in this little area I'm not sure he knew I was there. I was thinking of trying the "bump and dump" method that the old owner of Lone Wolf has had success. Can't remember his name at this time...

Then, I will be heading to a southern IL public land hunt Nov 1st for about a week. Maybe there I will at least get to see a buck close to the size of the ones Cole puts down every year!

I will be out Saturday morning, Sunday morning and Sunday night. We have mom's 60th Saturday so the night hunt is out of the picture.

Cold weather coming in, end of October...who's getting antsy? I am off starting Friday through the following Friday November 2. November 3rd gun season opens in MN, so I'd like to get it done before then.

I scheduled my vacation about 5 months ago for Nov 7-13. I hope there's still some good buck activity then. I might have jumped the gun and took it a week late. I sure hope not

Spent the day in the swamp today working to get ready for duck season that opens Nov. 3 where I'm at... Planning on hunting Friday-Sunday this weekend. Hopefully the bucks are on their feet with the youth duck season going on this weekend also. In the past it's been crazy how everything turns on the last weekend in October because of the start of duck hunting and the start of the chasing going on at the same time... We'll see.

Also got this buck on a new camera spot. Wouldn't trip my trigger, but he looks awful similar to the buck I shot in '07. Double throat patch and all.

Good luck Rory! I need to talk to you about duck hunting sometime. I have never been, and it looks like a blast. I know nothing about it

Got out hunting in WI today between thunderstorms. Not much moving in the heat this morning. It was 71 when I got out of my truck at the property. Saw one deer on neighbors. I did stalk up to 20 yds on a button buck that was really busy eating apples. The 25-30 mph winds made it possible. All I did with him was take some video. I had 3 different bucks chasing does cross the country roads on the way here. It is now 38 degrees so tomorrow is looking to be a pretty decent sit I hope.

Well guys, I shouldn't have shot my buck. I was hunting yesterday and saw this buck, I watched him for 4 hours.

I wish! Kansas is a one buck state. I will try and get my old man to shoot him. I could have easily killed him yesterday with my 30-06
