I was planning on getting out this evening.. The original forecast was perfect for one of my favorite stands. It changed though and is looking alright for the rest of the weekend. Good luck guys

Perfect wind to hunt a stand I like a lot in the morning, only problem is trying to get in there with a north wind. I think I've got my entry figured out though we'll see how well it works.

Here is the best pic of the Split Brow buck this week. He was on 3 different cameras but is still only moving at night.

Team I made a boneheaded mistake last night and it cost me a nice big doe that I shot under.
Yesterday while doing some farm work I took out the bow and shot 25 yards. First shot was low so I move my single pin
so the shot would be on and the next shots were right on. Well I get up into the tree and I'm sitting their and I look at my
site and decide to move my pin to the old marker from early september that I had been using. For some dang reason I got to thinking that was still my 20 yard pin. (sh0ot was about 26 yards) I had some issues and had to adjust that 20 yard marker and now it was 10 yards. Well it cost me big time! I will be taking that tape off later today.
It was a good hunt yesterday afternoon I had another big doe earlier at 15 yards but one stinking little branch was in
the way. She was nervous with a fawn because she caught my slight movement when I first seen them
I will be out monday as today my brother is out with his daughter for the youth hunt. I will be out with my son
cole tomorrow back home for the youth hunt.

    Good luck boys,
    T

I dropped off 6 kids and their adult mentors for the CTO program this morning for IL youth hunt. Had to show em to their stands and put up 3 HSS lifelines in trees. That put me getting out of there right at first light. After an hour drive home, I figure I'll just wait til this evening to hunt. Should be a good evening around here anyway. Best of luck to those out this morning and going out this evening

This cold front should make the deer move. Tom its only a matter of time before split brow decides to fullfill his needs :)

It's good to be back in the tree. Just a guy with his Alphamax, Ultimate Camo and a smartphone with a bowhunting app;)

Well if I listened to my gut I would have a doe down. Sat in the stand along the field edge trying to catch them move out of the corn and beens, but I should ha e sat our stand along to trail, 2 does walked by tonite with plenty of light. Had them at 40 yards from the stand I sat in.... grrrr o well the morning is another hunt!

No, I didn't get in bed until 2:00 this morning. I figured 2 1/2 hours of sleep wasn't quite enough. I have a pretty busy week coming up school wise, so I wouldn't have as much time to butcher as I would like. I might get out Tuesday morning, though.
