Well guys, I almost got it done 10 minutes ago. Crooked brow came in, but it was just barely too dark to shoot. Had him at 34 yards. He came in from a different way than usual, and he winded me a bit. Not too bad though, he just casually dropped into the dry creek bed and kept walking like normal

Sweet Cole....sounds like you've got him patterned! Hope you can get out this evening after him.

Here are some pics from the (3) cameras I had out on some WI property since mid-July. Unfortunately, the best cam or at least the best area for a cam the tree was knocked over in a storm the EXACT same day that I hung the camera! All I had was pics of leaves and branches. Another cam had over a thousand pics of cattle, but I did get this guy. Last year he was an 8 pointer that I called "blades" (sorry Fitz!) as his G2s were bladed last year. I have pics at home of him last year. He is not a huge buck, but this is about as large as they get around here. All of the neighbors shoot anything brown they see during gun season.

This cam only took about 300 pics and this was the ONLY buck on it. Kinda dissappointing as this field corner leads to a ridge line bedding area (50 yds) that I bumped a huge buck out of a few years ago. I think having this old camera out in the heat killed the batteries or something. Here he is:

I'm going to post some other pics of triplet fawns (never had them on this property before) and a series of a bobcat that was pushed (not physically) away by a doe on the trail cam section.

Well I'm back at the house now. I think I have a pretty good idea what the crooked brow buck is doing in the mornings now. I won't be able to get out again until Thursday morning though.

I could have easily shot a couple does this morning, but I'm going to wait until Thursday or Friday to shoot one.

While I was out this morning I checked my camera and got a pleasant surprise. Crooked brow was by my stand at 6:30 pm :tu: this is the first time I have gotten daylight pics of him all year. Things are starting to look good.

what day was that picture of him taken Cole? Just curious...with the dark period just getting over we were seeing buck movement during daylight hours pick up like expected as well.

Ty, that was taken on Friday. About 4 hours after I checked all my cameras on my ATV. I'm going to be in that stand by 5:30 in the morning tomorrow, hopefully he is just 5 minutes later than last time

You just feel lucky that he didn't grow as much as I thought he would from last year :poke:

Aahhhh! So close! I had crooked brow 15 yards broadside this morning, but it was still too dark again. I could see him, but not through my peep and sight housing. I think I am going to hang a stand further up the draw for Saturday morning, try and catch him a little later

I'm not sure yet, I need to figure out when my exam is. I'm pretty sure it Monday. If so, I will hunt this afternoon
