Season starts Monday here, and I am checking cams tomorrow. That's the good thing about hunting a ranch where they ride atvs every day Sent from my pocket computer using Tapatalk
Season opens tomorrow here in MO but I'll be stuck working all weekend. Planning on teal hunting one last time Monday and then getting in a tree Wednesday.
Good luck guys! I wont be out until tomorrow evening so hopefully there are points on the board before I even climb in a tree
Checked my camera on Thursday and finally got some pics of a buck we call Splitz. I videoed him back in late July but then he seemed to disappear for about a month. Here are the trail pics I have on him starting when he was 2 1/2yrs old. Splitz at 2 1/2yrs old Splitz at 3 1/2yrs old Splitz at 4 1/2yrs old Hopefully I will get a shot at him this year or at least get some video of him.
Dude, Splitz if a pig! Nothing here for me on Saturday. Only saw 2 does Saturday AM around 9:00. Nothing in the PM. A little too warm for me during the afternoon. Planned on hunting today also, but had to head home to help out with a sick family I might try to get back out again this coming weekend depending on the weather.
I got my stand set up today off a fenceline deep in the woods. This was the spot where Duke and I found a fence crossing and a well traveled path running parallel with the fence. This will be my primary stand at the end of October. I also set up a stand with the intent on taking a my first weekend out. Driving into the area this morning I jumped three bedded does and we saw two last weekend driving in. I will have limited time to hunt so I am hoping the new sets work out, I'm long overdue for a good buck
Damn, Splitz is a monster! Good luck Jason! My Tuesday morning hunt is looking good as long as the wind is right I have been calling him the crooked brow buck (real original, I know). He has been coming through every morning at 6:30. The buck behind him might or might not get shot given the opportunity, I'm not real sure what he would score. He is one hell of a rob buck Sent from my pocket computer using Tapatalk
Pretty slow in the stand in Buffalo County this weekend. I only saw one small buck and a few does. I really wanted to shoot one last night but the farm I was hunting does are off limits. I passed up hunting Sunday morning to get a stand hung and check cameras on my lease in SE MN before heading back to the stand in Wisconsin. We got a stand hung in a great tree and I think I may have found the trail that the Split Brow buck is using. I got a couple more pictures of him and the trail where I think I can kill him is 20 yards from my stand
