Dang, sorry to hear that Tom. It sounds like you looked plenty hard and tried everything, but just in case, did you check the possibility of him backtracking? I've only had this happen on two deer but I was following their blood trail when it just quit. After following the trail again, I soon noticed blood on the opposite side of the trail that it had been on all along. Sure enough, they both backtracked a ways on the same trail before jumping off of it and heading a direction I'd have never thought of.
I looked all day guys I can not find him. I did not hunt at all today to look as hard as I can. Tomorrow is my last day and I am going to go back out in stand in the morning and hope he comes back in and if not I will have a couple of hours to try to shoot a doe in the afternoon before I would have to leave and drive through the night to get home by 6 am Wednesday.
It has happened to most of us Tom and like cole stated don't be hard on yourself. Good luck later this morning.
Here is some pics from North Dakota. First is the Buck he was a main frame 10 pointer with a kicker off his G2 and a split brow in full velvet. The second pic is my arrow before it hit him. And then my pics of my doe from this morning.
Yeah, I saw your post on your other thread. Thats a tough break, it looks like that thing has to be dead somewhere out there. I probably would have taken the shot, too.
Hey guys I have gone through a couple of phones since last season and I could not find every ones cell # to text while I was in stand can we post them here again? Tom 763 269 1962
