Guys, I'm sitting 8+ hrs a day... shots at doe and little pecker heads every sit but I haven't even seen anything over 120. Time is running out. Nov 17 is the beginning of a 3 week Gun season up here and getting a bow kill let alone a decent buck down after that is all but unattainable. I yanked a stand today that the cable broke on last week( yes I did need new underwear, thanks for asking) and replaced the cable with chain. That goes back up tomorrow and I'll be back in there ( my best spot) over the weekend. It's supposed to be nasty tomorrow so I'll be doing stand maintenance and cards so as not to waste the scent killing rain. Shoot straight Aim small Don't super size it's enough already tubby
No luck tonight. Just a small buck and a couple of does about 300 yds away close to my other stand. Hope to sneak in a morning hunt before work tomorrow
Not going to be able to become ill over the night and tomorrow. Lots of planning and schedule changes for my classroom on Monday that need to be done tomorrow *big sigh* going to be sitting sunrise to 1:30 Saturday and all day Sunday Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Damn he’s a stud. Everything looks good to me. A good friend of mine shot a stud a couple properties down from me tonight. I’ve never seen this buck, no sheds, no pictures. It’s very well deserved after he has passed up sub-130 bucks the past 3 years holding out for a good one.
Collin, does that main beam almost split in the middle then reconnect? That’s a crazy characteristic of the buck he’s a stud too Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
He's got some cool stuff going on for sure. There's basically a valley with a hole in the center of his main beam. He was seen 4 days ago across 2 roads and 3/4's of a mile away, it's getting rutty out there.
We just got 2 inches of fresh snow in November and I’m headed to work... Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Our snow is coming tomorrow and Tuesday. I will be chasing feathers in the morning and deer in the afternoon. Edit: Snow has arrived. I wish I was in the deer stand.
He needs another year or two. Let those stickers he's got growing above his brows get to be 9-10" and he will be a shooter.
I think he has a ~3" inside point on that weaker side too. I'm out of tags, so he gets a 1 year pass from me.
Skipped tonight's sit to hang a stand this afternoon and take my beautiful bride out to dinner. The morning sit is going to be a rough one. 27° with teens to 20's west wind. But gotta be in it to win it.
