Summited to the score card 106" 3rd buck with a bow since 2008 40 yard shot, he dropped and sadly hit his spine. I was able to quickly take another fatal shot to the heart. Now the freezer is looking better and I still owe the Team a Doe.
Buddy I hunt with got this guy a mile away from where I'll be hunting next week. I even saw this buck 2 years ago. He went 151 gross as an 8 with a broken brow!!!
I killed my public hunting land doe tonight at 5pm After 4 hunts on this land and only multiple bucks coming by me and other hunters moving into 70 yards from me, I finally got it done just before the rain moved in this evening and it was nice to have no one else hunting around me ! She gave me a thirty yard broadside shot. Now with my public land earn a buck doe down I can now bow hunt for a public land buck
I hunted from sun up to sun down this past Thursday - Sunday . I pulled back on 3 different bucks over the course of the 4 days but it never panned out :/ Ill be out all day Tuesday and Thursday before the week so hoping I can finally close the deal! Had some amazing encounters !

I’m actually not sure Thwack1. Maybe check with Fitz, or I can do that. I’ve bounced back and forth between here and Ohio the last two weekends, gathering intel and hunting some in preparation for our 9 day trip this coming Friday. I feel very hopeful to get a buck on public ground. Congrats to Lady Forge. Things are really heating up everywhere, get out there and kill your buck as well as a doe if you haven’t already. Well I talked with Mr. fitz and I was never actually replaced. So if you will all have me I'd love to be part of the team! I actually took him in to the butcher today. As soon as I get the cape back, I'll get an actual score together along with the extra pics to meet requirements to post! I taped him real fast when I got him cleaned out at 143 but I'm sure I had a little overlap. Since I'm fashionably late to the game, here is a little about me. I'm from central Illinois. I own a small tract of land to hunt, and I work a crazy 7 on 7 off 12 hour shift as a hospital pharmacist.
Not my biggest, but happy just the same. Easy chip shot and some meat in the freezer. First afternoon hunt. Will upload 2 dif pics and score later this weekend or next week. Be safe & good luck!
Lol that’s what I’m talking about guys! Congrats on the bucks - I’m currently on hour 6 of my 12 hour sit - almost all of my food is gone and my fingers are going numb - desperation has set in - ha ha still better than being at work though !
