That's neat. I have yet to see a bobcat in person in the wild. Got out first on trail camera earlier this year. I have been applying for a bobcat tag not sure when I will get one though.

8 days until our early doe season opens. I will probably get my first hunt in around Sept 10th.

If I were a betting man I would vote that you don't miss too many buckeye football games.

I dont use one But I did install Christines Hind Sight on her Bowtech's when I put her new string and cables on her bows, and I was having fun playing with it when I was tuning her bow and shooting her bow.

You will probably see Christine out there if you work there this weekend, she is here from Utah staying at my place for the weekend trying to get her hours out there completed.

Thanks, I think I am going to purchase one. I need some type of peep sight, but I really dislike peep sights. :)

Well my liver is officially pickled. Came home from camping a day early because we are now going to be really busy up until bow season. We are going to be moving into a bigger apartment soon so I have a ton of packing to do. I also need to get my girlfriend shooting some broadheads. I'm pretty excited to move since the apartment we are in is tiny and we are switching to a three bedroom house with a full basement for storage and a two car garage. My girlfriend will be able to walk to work and I work from home. That will be really nice in the winter.

Checked my card that my dad grabbed from our food plot and there wasn't a whole lot on there. I was kinda disappointed mostly baldies or just little guys. Oh well patterns can change

Ok good news/badnews on my card pull yesterday. First the good news. This guy is hitting my mineral lick I set out a week ago. SUNP0032.jpg

I'll post a few more pics of him if this works.

He's no monster by any means but a trophy by my standards and for MN Public land. I'm going to name him "Meatball" so hopefully I run into him again. I'm not good at telling age/score of deer yet so if anyone cares to give their opinion, please do.

It looks like he's still in velvet but these pics are from my cheapo camera so its hard to tell. He's no. 1 on my list since I don't have any pictures of any other deer. Which lead me to the bad news from my day trip.....continued

The bad news... Not totally unexpected but disappointing none the less. I even warned myself about it. After I saw Meatball on the hoof and saw that my cheap camera had pictures recorded, I got really excited. I went to check out my brand new stealth cam I set up 1/4 mile away. Sure enough it was gone. After chatting with everyone on this forum, it gave me a false sense of security that bowhunters were all good guys and gals. It reinforces that fact that there are a-holes out there that only think about themselves. Well I hope it was worth it camera thief guy. I'm sure this isn't the first thing you've stolen and it may have come easy for you. But you sir are the one who will have to answer for your actions someday.

My best friend and pride and joy black lab named Jake started not to feal well on Tuesday. By Thursday he was in extreme amounts of pain and late Thursday we had to put him down. It turned out that he had very advanced liver cancer. It has been a hard past couple of days. :(
