Yeah I was very optimistic after seeing all the trail camera pictures we had gotten this last summer. But this was really the first year I have gone throughout the summer with cameras out. Now with my coverts I don't stop running them. I am hoping to buy 3 more before next year. My optimistic feeling went away when the bucks started making scrapes because we were seeing about half the amount of scrapes we had in years past. But if I were to look at this in a positive manner we have found multiple new areas to hunt because we have had to scout further and more area then we have ever had to before to find the scrapes. What's all your plans for gun deer season? I will be heading up to our cabin in spooner on Thursday night. We hunt around Stone Lake at my grandparents (20 mins east of our cabin) opening weekend. On Monday and Tuesday we will probably be hunting in a different area west of our cabin 20 mins. On Wednesday we will probably just hunt around our cabin and hopefully have to process some deer. Thanksgiving day depending on what we have for deer we normally return to our opening day stands for a morning sit and come in for turkey dinner with the family and then my girlfriend and I head down to her grandparents for supper. The rest of the deer season we hunt with her family down in clark county. Should be a good time! I shot my muzzleloader for the first time this past weekend and had a lot of fun doing that so I am hoping to put a deer down with that this season. But my main goal is for my girlfriend to shoot one as she didn't get one during bowhunting yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry guys! I was sick and then had a sick little one so have not been able to post anything. I brought the SD card to work with me today to get the pics posted and realized I left my card reader at the cabin I will get pics posted ASAP!

Nice! Congrats! Yes, pics are coming. But, first, I have to go buy another card reader since I can not remember to bring it home from the cabin! We are suppose to go back up this weekend, but with the potential of between 2-3 ft of snow...I am not sure that is going to fly.
