Have a good feeling about our teams chances through the weekend.....

Nsimmons, I didn't like the platinum glue either. Let me know how that goat tuff stuff works.

So far I like it, it dries in like 5 seconds which is really nice compared to the platinum. I kept blowing fletching off when shooting with the platinum and the other weekend when I was sitting in my treestand I would just touch my fletching with my finger and my fletchings were coming off. I believe it has something to do with the cold weather and my FMJ arrows. Well see how goat tuff holds up to shooting but I don't believe I am going to have any problems with it.

Well ladies and gents it's super windy up here in the tree. Had a turkey come in so far and since I have a fall turkey tag I tried shooting it. When I pulled back to shoot it spotted me and started going away from me. I rushed the shot a bit because of this and and ended up hitting a twig I couldn't see and deflected into a tree lol.

Good laughs for my girlfriend and I up in the tree :)

Hope you all are enjoying yourself this morning

Just got in from a day full of scouting. Found a pretty decent scrape line but nothing like were used to seeing this time of year. Going to be sitting over that tonight so hopefully something comes in to freshen it up. My dad and his friend have seen a nice ten pointer in that area

I am sitting in the tree today for an all dayer less two hrs. I feel like a cowboy since it so windy. I have seen a lot of blue jays but no deer. I still have bears at my feeders. I wonder if this is the problem? Thoughts.

mkwa, I wouldnt hunt at feeders near bears. How much land are you hunting? Do you have maps of your hunting land? Maybe some of us could give you a hand.

    Good luck!

MKWA, do you have the ability to hunt all that land surrounding your treestand? If so, can you send me the gps coordinates of your stand or at least the address....

I see Old Mine Rd....but I don't know the province or state if it is in the US.

Maybe we could work through some map study and see what we can do to get you closer to deer.

Sat all day yesterday and saw nothing. Pretty frustrated at this point. I know everyone says just wait, things are heating up, etc. but the weather has been bad, lots of corn still up. I don't think it will get any better here for a while. By then the orange army will be out messing things up. Like Justin posted. It a bummer of a season so far.

MN, I wouldn't worry. For the next three weeks things will be good. Just keep plugging away. It only takes ten seconds to turn a season around.

Where are you hunting? Public, private? We are all here to help each other.

    Ok I'll bite.
    Big public area[IMG]
If I zoom in a little :[IMG]. The heart shaped island is in a grassy swamp. It was relatively dry but with all the rain, the marsh is knee deep in spots. I hunt the blue pin spot on this map. It forms a natural funnel between the field and an acorn ridge to the west. [IMG]. This is where I missed the doe earlier this year. This area gets some pressure which may have the deer nocturnal. I set out two cams pre-season but one got stolen so that's out. I'll just have to hunt it The old fashioned way and look for better sign.
