Well I had a beautiful doe come in to 10 yds to my apples and caught my scent on the apples and stood looking at me. She then stared me down for 20 mins and flicked her tail with ears back to walk away from me. I almost had her!!! Bow hunt or Die!!!

I shot a nice eight point Saturday for my last youth hunt every! The only bad thing is that it doesn't count because I shot it with my rifle.

    Congrats JT!

Good luck BLT. I have a good feeling something is going to die.

Here is my PA opening morning......first time ever hunting in PA and public land to boot. Saw three doe, two in range. Pretty cool until some jokers with dirtbikes illegally drove down the powerlines and spooked all the deer.

So I went out to my treestand tonight with all my gear. I started walking and talking with my son only to discover I had forgot my release on the workstation in the barn. I had to jump back into the car and drive 25 mins home to get it.

Have you ever forgot something and had to go back and get it? What was it?

Well, complete rain out this past weekend! It literally rained the entire weekend - until we started packing up to head home...of course! My brother in law did bring his 10 year old nephew up for the youth hunt and they sat in our blind on the land and he got his first deer - a nice doe! He was so happy and so excited! The tracking was difficult considering the rain was coming down so hard it erased any sign of a blood trail - but he kept an eye of where she ran and was able to find her fairly quickly. The look on his face was priceless!

Now, I would like to have my chance! I am very hopeful for this coming weekend. Hopefully I will be able to add some points to our team!

This past weekend I was heading up north, I was about 30 mins from home when I realized I had forgotten my goose license in my truck back home. I hate when we take my gf's car I never have everything I need.

I too have forgotten my release thankfully that day I was hunting below the cabin so it was just a short walk.

Here is some photos from this past weekends hunts. Saturday we saw a bunch of ducks and got lots of shooting in and we ended up with 5 ducks in the group of 4. Sunday we didn't have many ducks but we shot 7 geese and one duck in our group of 7. Pretty awesome morning hunt.
