Good luck Fletch. Looks like I'll be able to get out Fri through Sunday for afternoon hunts.

Went this morning and seen 3 buck and 3 doe. Just nothing big or nothing I wanted to mess with. Back at it tomorrow.

My dad is in from Colorado for thanksgiving. (He's a elk and mulie hunter now) took him to my lease an he used my wife's mathews passion lol. First whitetail he's killed in 14 years. He use to be a big buck killing machine when he lived in OK. He was pretty happy with this little doe though.

Good stuff OK....your awesome season continues. Your son was involved, biggest buck of life, multiple bucks, multiple states, and now your dad is on the board. Fantastic!

Hopefully some of us can knock a deer or two down by Sunday night. Not sure if the bucks are still moving hard here or not. Should be able to get in some hunt between now and next week.

It has definitely been a good year. He was sitting beside me in my double set this morning. They walked in he said can I shoot one? I just had to smile. Kind of a role reversal from when I was young asking if I could shoot one. Good memories for sure.

Just checking in all! I haven't been on here for a long time due to being SWAMPED at work & moving into our new house. I was able to sneak away and get a couple of hunts in. Had a couple encounters with a couple of really nice bucks but couldn't get the deal sealed. FINALLY got permission to hunt a property that butts up to my usual spot and am still learning the lay of the ground. As soon as I figure out how I'll post some of the pics I've got of the two bucks I saw that I'm after from here on out. I've got 14 days off coming up in a week and plan on hitting it hard as HELL during that time. Wish me luck... I'll need it but I'm gonna try and make the team proud!

Trying again this afternoon. Two months of pressure is making for some hard deer to kill.

Bummer VS. That's tough going. I had a really nice buck walking straight to me on the only morning I got to hunt over the holiday weekend. He got to about 40 yards on a trail that would have put him broadside at 10 and a doe with a fawn coming from the opposite direction at the same time distracted him and turned him the other way. I was literally within about 15 seconds from getting it done on a dandy. I have had more close calls on some really nice bucks than I can remember. It seems like the luck normally tips in my favor, and this year it is the one thing lacking. lol. I have this week left before gun seasons open and then the late bow season will open back up. I hope to make it out at least a couple of times this week.
