It's been two and a half weeks since the scoreboard was updated. I really couldn't tell you where anyone stands.?? I haven't taken the time to dig through it.

what a fun hunt last night. rained all day untill about 3p.m. i jumped in a tree at 3 30. deer started moving about 4 and from 4 to 530, the woods were ALIVE with deer. seen 7-8 bucks with the biggest about a 120ish and about 20 does.
the young bucks were really showing off to the ladies. there is a scrape under an apple tree 18 yards from the stand and 5 of the bucks all worked it. all i have is a flip phone so the pics are poor. tried capturing 4 small bucks in the pic but only got 3. these were 12-14 yards away. they were really posturing each other and took turns working the scrape.
the small 4x4 was sniffing my ladder stand.
    great evening in a tree.

Good stuff bucks. Some of you guys have some dynamite spots to hunt. 7 to 8 bucks in one sit is amazing. Wish you the best of luck.

I pulled cards on 4 cameras yesterday. The amount of buck activity exploded in just the past three days. Most of the mature bucks were still at night, but there were a couple of really nice 3.5 yr. olds out in broad daylight. This weekend is going to be great. Jeff Hopkins, staff shooter for Mathews killed a 223" buck a few days ago in my area and Mark Drury killed a 211" buck just West of me. And, Bill Winke killed a dandy just to the East of me. I heard the Lindsay's killed a stud also. They are near Drury's. The guys that have nothing else to do, have already got it done! lol. I'm just jealous that they aren't stuck behind a desk most of their lives like I am. Congrats to all of them. They work hard for those opportunities. Put 'em down boys and hunt safe!

Since Hillary sucks, I would go for that. Well, Bill might argue, but you know what I mean.

I am on my phone at work......its 1 am and I have to finish up this overnight shift and one more tomorrow then I am on vacation until 2 days after thanksgiving.

Counting the seconds......can't wait to get the hell out of here.

Few nice sits here and there so far but just does and fawns with some small bucks scattered in so far. Weather looks good coming up and if I don't get one you guys can rest assured it will not be from a lack of efffort. This is probably the worst year we have ever had for trail cams.......neighbors included. Sad to say but I'm not sure the odds are very good for us this year to bag a beast. Our DEC is dumber then a bag of hammers. They gave out almost no doe tags in our region this year (and last) with the supposed logic of "you guys aren't shooting enough bucks so we want the deer numbers up". Well morons.......the reason we aren't shooting as many bucks as other areas is because we are doing what YOU keep begging everyone to do. Our area is HEAVILY managed and almost all private owned. Couple guys hunting hundreds of acres is the norm so the land isn't getting pounded like public battlefields and most guys let young bucks walk.........we are over run with does and can't get a tag. I guess they would rather have us slaughter every spike and 4 pt instead just to prove they are there. Idiots. Last day of ML season I saw over 20 does from my stand alone.......that 20 some is now probably 50-60.

Anyways, with no doe tags we are afraid that lots of guys (weekend warriors) will quit hunting way sooner then ever before and our numbers will "look" even worse and the snowball of stupidity will keep building.

Congrats to all who have scored and I will do my best to contribute.

Well I have way bigger deer on cam this year. Those did not matter at all to me last night. My little boy has been itching to go with me to get a deer. We hunted hard youth rifle season an came up empty handed. Yesterday evening he come up to me and said let's go kill a deer. Needless to say I was going to shoot a deer last night. Not my biggest not my best but definitely one I'll always hold close.

His face says it all. He was pumped when this dude walked in. I thought he was gonna jump out of the stand after I shot lol. Love making memories with him.
