Ended up measuring out 111 4/8. I figured he’d make 120” but oh well. Like I said before, it was awesome to watch all of my planning and ideas come together. I’m ready to get started for next year! I have another doe tag left but I don’t see the need to fill it. Just not enough does on the properties I’m hunting. May let the 30/06 eat if one of my buddies needs some doe reduction at one of their properties. Good luck fellas, it’s beer time

In the contest we use the gross score before deductions so you actually can edit your entry to the 113 score Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I’m not sure if I’m going to try to do mine myself or take it somewhere. Overall how much time do you think you’ll have in it?
My 15 year old son spent like 5 hours getting most of the meat and skin off the skull yesterday . I'm sure it could be done faster but I think he was kinda taking his time with it being his first time doing something like that. And so far today I have probably another 4 hours in it simmering it.. Removing meat when it's easier to remove and repeating a few times. I don't think it'll be totally done today because I'll probably still have to take it to the car wash and pressure wash it and I should probably bleach it somehow too. I've only ever done 1 other one years ago. It's not the most fun thing to do but it's a little better then a $400 taxidermy bill. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Looks good. But if you are not in a hurry, I just buried mine from last year. I am getting ready to dig it up next week when I am back in KY. It should only require me to wash it off with a water hose. So basically I have no time invested into it except for patience. It just depends on how fast you want it done. I plan to do a euro skull camo paint dip. You should YouTube some videos of that. Really cool looking. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Some of those camo ones look pretty decent The best and easiest way to do a euro is with dermestid beetles but you have to have a colony of them and they wouldn't survive the cold in my garage. They definitely wouldn't be allowed to be taken into the house haha. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
And the hard part is done. Just needs cleaned up just a touch after it dries out and whitened! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
