Supposed to be mid 30 in the morning deer should be moving I hope so any way Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Low 60s here but supposed to storm around 10am so I’m going to see if the front will get them moving. Probably calling in to work tomorrow, but I’m leaving for Key West Wednesday so tomorrow evening I’ll probably hold off. I don’t want to shoot something, have to back out, and not be able to track it the next day.
Well, as you already know...I did not get a deer. As a matter of fact, I did not see a deer. This was my 4th time hunting on base here in Arkansas and I have yet to see a deer while on stand. I will say that I keep seeing them on the way to the stand. Lol. So I know they are here. They just seem to be nocturnal right now. We are still waiting for a cold front ourselves. Don't really have one in the next 10 day forecast. Hopefully soon. Good luck to all who are hunting tomorrow! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well I didn't go hunting at all today. I did however go up and fill the feeders up and check cameras. I do have several doe and small bucks showing up. It's about to get real good. There as been 6 shooter bucks caught on trail cameras wishing 200 yards of me. I have found a little buck that I want to make my friend lol.... Like I want him as a pet!!! He's too cute!!!
Here's another pic of that little dude.... I'm sure I'll have some video of him in the next few days.
Just about to head to the stand might freeze my ass off coldest day this fall so fair I'll be put a few layers on Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well I waited for the rain to quit, went in, swapped my cards, got in my stand, and then a big toad gurgler came, so I got out of there. Its 63 degrees and 83% humidity. The rain isn’t so bad but lightening in a tree stand.....meehhh. Anyway, here’s a pic from a buck last year and then this year. I can’t tell if he’s 2.5 or 3.5. I posted a pic of him in velvet back by my mock scrape stand a few weeks ago. I think he needs another year, but I have an itchy trigger finger
That is a monster. I would def not pass him up. Lol He looks to be 3.5 to me. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hopefully he doesn’t give me an opportunity then I won’t have to worry about it until next year lol. There’s 3 or 4 other bucks around that are older and have more inches on them. Some border line booners
He's huge I wouldn't pass him but everybody has there own preference on deer do what u think is best if he needs another year pass him up if not take him Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Yes, at least you saw some deer. I forgot what a deer looks like anymore. Lol. Been almost a month and a half without seeing a deer. Should be soon though!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hey guys take a look at captn kirk doe entry on the score thread. Lets take votes on who bets that is a button buck and he thinks people will look down on him for shooting it. Take a look and let me know what you think.. lol Sent from my SM-G955U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
meat in the freezer. I don’t look down on anybody that legally harvests a deer. Until it gets to record deer, and you hear a story where some old man who doesn’t deer hunt, saw a 190” buck run in to a hedgerow durning gun season, so he got about 8 buddies to drive the property and push it out on the other end.
