Hell no! I wouldn’t have been mad if there was a zebra cake left up there. But nooo, just empty nutty bar and oatmeal pie wrappers. I know, bc I smelled them. I’ve gotta nose for little Debbie’s.

Well, I just checked my set up (on base) in the woods... and it looks great! The new "redneck" corn feeder that I made, has been found by the deer!!! It was all but gone. I refilled it and placed my climber on the tree and (Lord willing) plan to hunt it Thursday afternoon. I am tempted to go get a camera as well. Anyone have a preference on a cheap, but quality game camera that I could pick up? Or is someone possibly selling an old used one?? The reason I say cheap is cause it seems like a lot of folks get there stuff stolen on base. That is terrible since we should be able to trust military folks. Lol. Thanks!

I have two wildgame innovation cams, they work. I don’t think I’ll buy another. For a little extra $$ the browning cams seem nice. I’m going to hunt some public land next year and won’t feel bad about leaving the WI cams out there lol. I’m probably going to buy a browning after the season is over for home use. They have the WI cloak 8s on amazon for $39.99

Very cool. More action than I have had my last couple hunts. Maybe the buck will show his face next time. Keep it up triebs!

Big bucks going down everywhere and I’ve beensetting here at work since 4pm. 4-midnight shift isn’t the best for early season. Buuuut, I still got to hunt this morning and it was nice setting in the stand I grew up hunting.

It’s early yet man. I got discouraged last year and decided I needed to come in to this year with a plan. If I stick to my plan and keep myself from moving stands around early, that will be a success for me in itself. Prime pickin’ time is coming. When those temps drop off, the leaves fall, and the bucks start searching for does it’ll be on.

I have confidence that we’ll pick up some points come early November. A Facebook page I follow, Bucks of Indiana, is usually flooded with the biggest, nastiest, monster bucks from the state, but it’s a little slow going yet. Give them a like, I promise you ll see some sweet bucks.

A little update from me... yesterday evening it quit raining at 3:30 and I was in the blind at 3:45 and never seen a deer. Went this morning and sat in a very light rain and never seen a deer lmao. Won't be going back hunting until cameras show daytime activity. Next week we're supposed to have another cool front so hopefully that's when activity will increase. To all of you going the next few days I wish you all good luck. I'll be on here more these next couple of days.
