I agree to that. I had fun! Seen several squirrels and one deer. Not a bad first day in my book.

I may go to my parents tomorrow morning. I work 4-midnight so I haven’t been able to hunt the evenings. I’m going into my parents with out any scouting, but we have an old stand that’s proven itself before, just never hunted it in bow season. Thursday evening and Friday they’re calling for rain, so I’ll definitly be in my #1 stand Thursday and maybe Friday. I’m really trying to be low impact here at my house as I want to keep it fresh for the last weekend of October and the first week of November, so I really have to wait until conditions are perfect.

There’s plenty of does to be had at Mom and dads, just have to figure out when to hunt them. I have one stand set up on the backside of a bean field, so I’ll hunt that when i go up there for evening hunts on my days off.

It’s early yet, and we’re only on day two of our season. The bucks are in a transition period and the acorns have them wandering through the woods here. We’ll be heading to Key West October 11th-16th. The hunting ought to be heating up when we get back. Good luck to everybody that is hunting this week. I’ll post an update on Thursday.

Of course tonight the only deer I saw were just as I was climbing down out of my stand after dark!! Ridiculous amounts of squirrels in there, lots of acorns right now so that’s a plus. Definitely deer activity in there just gotta connect at the right time now.

In the stand at my parents, jumped a doe in the dark on the way in at about 10 yards. I don’t know who was more scared.

Lol I stopped dead in my tracks, she barely even blew and it was just one really short quiet one so maybe she didn’t scare the entire woods

Well I didn't make it out this morning. But I'm going this evening. Supposed to rain and then be cloudy all night and rain again tomorrow. Could be good.

Didn’t see anything after the doe I jumped. Then, after talking to my parents afterward, the neighbor kids have been back there. It’s nice finding their little Debbie wrappers in the tree stand. If it rains, I’ll be in my #1 stand Thursday
