I sat in a stand after work yesterday under, what I thought, was perfect condition. Baro press drop, overcast, breeze. Didn't see the first deer. The squirrels are up in the trees knocking acorns down, but the drop hasn't hit full force like I thought. There is going to be a significant temp drop this weekend. Ill be out if things go right. Good luck this weekend.... it's gonna be cooler in Oklahoma as well. Our season starts Sunday and I'm ready to be out there. The white oaks are dropping but not to yet either.
Thanks guys stoked to be on the team and ready for a good season. That's awesome that some of you guys are able to get out and do some deer hunting already, our season here won't start until November... The elk hunt went great we packed in 12 miles on horse back had lots of opportunities at elk and even passed on a few shots waiting for the big bruiser. But a bunch of snow kinda put a damper on the elk activity halfway through the 10 day trip. So only had one more chance on the last day and screwed up the shot at a big bull by skipping the arrow off a branch. Stupid mistake but I learned a lot so a successful hunt non the less.
Wow I had to play a lot of catch up!! Haven't been out for deer lately. Planning on going Thursday morning, as the temps are 80+ through Wednesday, cooling to the mid 40's by Thursday at daylight. Our bear season did come to a close on Saturday, passed on two pretty decent bears and saw one big shooter but he never came to the bait. Overall a good season for me, saw 9 bears total in 5 sits. Yeah I'm pretty proud of our team.... we're the second team with the most replies!!! I know that don't mean much but at least we're communicating and getting to know one another. That's what this contest is all about.

Name is Court im an Oregon boy 25 years old been hunting an fishing since I could walk basically. I mostly bow hunt but I do still like to pick up a rifle now and again for different hunts. We have blacktail deer in this area and our season starts November and carries on through most of the rut. During this late season I sit in a stand on my family property with feeders and plots. Usually can be pretty successful and I'm hoping to bring some footage to the table this season. TEAM 26!!!
