Lol well in one waybi kinda like the people that shoot small bucks cause they usually tag out early than they are done hunting!!! Lol but that doesn't let them get big

That's very true... We have a simple rule on our lease! If it'll be the biggest you've ever killed then take it. If it's not let it walk and shoot a doe. Now me and my uncle were hunting for mature bucks and doe. Everyone else is trying to kill there biggest to date.

Honestly if I was hunting public land I would shoot that buck the public land I hunt gets hammered by people and if I don't shoot it someone else will early season lad pass him but the closer it gets to get season I'd take him

Nothing wrong with shooting a young deer man! If it gets your blood pumping and puts a smile on your face and meat in the freezer, that's why we hunt anyways. I've killed a few of them myself. Now I just enjoy watching them and hopefully getting to watch them mature into older, bigger deer.

Being I've never shot a buck might be better to shoot a littler one to get the jitters out

Once the jitters are gone I'm gonna stop deer hunting. How long have you been bowhunting again?

I hope you get him... its hard to say because I can only tell one side. I need to be able to see his whole rack and how wide he is.

I would suggest letting your cousin and his wife walk also! I don’t think they meet the criteria of the score card:moose:
