Also waiting on 10/1. I'm ready to go though. Stands hung/cleared, clothes washed, trails cut back and sprayed.

Yeah turkeys are definitely smart. I have yet to kill one with a bow.

Slickbilly, your way ahead of me. I'm gonna go one day this coming week and get my blind and stand hung! Hopefully put out some cameras as well. A doe isn't to hard to harvest. But I'd like to see what kind of bucks we've got this year.

I enjoy running cameras almost as much as hunting. This year I have been able to be a lot more patient about checking them. Last year, year about every fourth day I'd talk my self in to pulling cards lol

Hahaha yeah I'm the same way! I don't know, I'm trying to go a different route this year. I don't want to go into my prime spots very much until the first few days. I've just kinda been holding off and letting the deer do what they do this year. Hoping to get a shot at one of the big bucks we've got.

IMG_3784.JPG IMG_3783.JPG These were from my first year on this lease. This is the same deer in both pics. He definitely grew since these were taken. I'm hoping he still around this year.

Hey y'all! I am glad to be on a team again this year. Thought I might have missed the cutoff, but we are GTG. This will be my 3rd or 4th year in the contest. I am happy to be on the team. I also vote for "tapped in, tagged out". I also vote for hunterman927 to be our team captain...if he even wants to. A little background info...I am from Kentucky and am currently stationed in Arkansas. I will be hunting in both states this year. My dad has 65 prime acres in KY and I am still working on getting in on some private land here in AR. At worse, I will be able to hunt some public land and/or the local military bases that have decent hunting land. The season started in KY on 2 Sep and I shot a doe...except I could not find her to save my life. I hit her a little high and there was no blood to be found. Pretty bummed about that. Anyways, I am pumped to be part of this team and let's do our best to be competitive and win! As far as this contest goes, if everyone can at least get a doe...we will be in the top 3rd of the teams. Then if we sprinkle in some nice bucks, we will climb up the leaderboard. Good luck this year fellas!

I'm all for Hunterman927 being captain if he wants to as well!! I'll be glad to help out, I just can't be on the forum as much as some others probably can.

Our season is now open in certain areas of the state, the state doesn't fully open until the 28th though.
